I travel to Franfurt for work a lot, and either stay at Airport hotels or just outside the main city centre. This time, given my IHG Membership, I decided to stay at the Klimpton Main, which at the time of writing this review, has been open for 5 or 6 weeks. I'm so glad I did, This hotel is new, freah and fun! The Interior. You enter the building diagonally into the lobby and reception, I dont know why, but it does have a positive effect as the first thing you see is the lobby/bar area, then you turn towards the check-in desks. The interior design of the communal areas are currated by a london-based interior design house and different artists have contributed to the look and feel. There are some very nice touches as well, such as the light refreshment station inside the lobby seating area. The 5th floor restaurant, Lazuli, is lovely, with floor to ceiling glass, and a building-length ouside patio with comfy seating and relaxed vibe. The Anni restaurant below the lobby is where breakfast is served, and has a Neo-Deco feel. Again, its airy, well considered and doesn't challange the senses as soon as you go down for breakfast. The Rooms The rooms are fresh, with a funky colourway, which may not suit everyone, but does not detract from the stay. The mattresses is firm, but the hotel does have matteress toppers for those needing a softer sleeping surface. I think the wall-mounted vanity mirror in the bathroom could have been one that has its own light for those applying makeup, but its a small point. I was in room 203, a standard room, facing the inner part of the building, no view, but that was not a requirement for me, and it had the added bonus of being very quite. I was happily suprised with the hand-held steam iron in the room, as I do prefer to steam my cloths rather than use a traditional hot-plate iron. There are USB & USB-C charging points built into the bedside cabinet, so no having to pull your EU plug-chargers out as soon as you arrive is a small win. I also liked the retro bedside cabinet lamp, with its industrial style on-off switch. The amount of lighting in the room is perfect, and the aircon works well without being obtrusive. The Food. The F&B offerings are very, very good. The Lazuli menu is modern European, with a good menu selection, and high quality, well presented plates. I was lucky enough to attend the launch of Lazuli, attended by invited IHG teams, local fashionistas and hotel guests, that had drinks and food. The large canape's were all fantastic, showing off the skills of the chefs. Breakfast in Anni is a very good mix of buffet iteam and Al'a'Carte menu. I would have preferred a manual (proper) coffee machine for coffee requests, but the auto machine is ok. There are also some very good Japanese restaurants with 5-10 min walk. The Service I cannot fault the service. Upon walking into the lobby, you are greeted by friendly and attentive staff, they even come out from behind the front desk t
