Holiday Inn Express & Suites Frankenmuth

Great location and convenient that it’s across the street from the River Shop Place. Clean rooms and lobby and friendly staff. However, our only complaint was the noise and all the commotion. You can hear your neighbors open and close their doors and it was very bothersome and the loud sounds were startling. I would recommend the hotel using soft closing door hinges! We also had a very loud family with kids above our room and for hours kids were jumping off beds and stomping on the floors. Complaining didn’t help either. All of this kept us up in the night.

This is hotel is by far the dirtiest holiday inn i have ever stayed in . Room and hallway smelled like urine. Carpet was flooring was filthy . Flies in room and bathroom . Complained to manger and staff about room cleanliness and they did nothing for me . The manager made excuse after excuse .

The first room we got had crumbs on the table and the toilet not clean. The second room had popcorn, popcorn kernels, and pretzels on the floor. The floor wasn’t vacuumed, hair in the bathroom and tub. I spoke to Trent, manager, he said he didn’t want to see my pictures. I cleaned the room with cleaning supplies we take.

A few things could be improved. Not as clean as other Holiday Inns that we have stayed at. Think they are understaffed. Lighting in the room was poor. Outside area for smoking was unappealing-cushions on chairs were dirty. Could have night light in the bathroom. Pluses were great location, friendly front desk staff, good, well stocked breakfast, comfortable beds.

This was a nice, affordable hotel to stay in during our visit to Frankenmuth and surrounding area in August 2024. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and the front desk staff was very helpful with any requests we had. The only minor downside was the pancake maker at breakfast was not functioning properly during both our breakfasts which was disappointing for our kids. The staff member how was wonderful and put in a fair amount of effort to try and get it working for the kids.

Convenient to book online. We arrived early and room was ready. Staff was nice. Hotel clean. Breakfast was good. Location is directly across from River Place Shops. Very walkable to downtown. Hotel is definitetly a tourist hotel. Beds were uncomfortable. Asked for a room away from elevator and it was next to it so noisy. Loud outside in halls. Air conditioner was loud. Fridge wasn't cold. Shower heads need maintenance as it was half working. Fan in bathroom didn't work well. Was looking forward to a hot tub and not one in pool area. We left day early. Would choose another hotel chain should we return to Frankenmuth.

Stayed here for our first visit to Frankenmuth. It is conveniently located right across the street from the River Shops and an easy walk to the bars, restaurants and shops on S Main Street. Our room was ready on time. Hotel was clean. Very nice breakfast selection in the morning.

Betsy Counts 1/5 Mold filled bathroom - I have pictures to prove it, Look on my google review. I checked in on July 3rd, 2023. I am from Frankenmuth and now live in Maryland. I normally stay at a different hotel but that one was under renovation. I just arrived in time for the Frankenmuth fireworks, threw my suitcase in the room, and left for the night. The next day contacted the front desk to speak with the manager – Trenton Lucier, when I asked to speak with him, the front desk stated he was on his way in. So I waited about 30 minutes..went back to the front desk and then they stated he was on the phone, so I stated.. I will wait! Waited about another 30 minutes, then went back to the front desk and asked to speak with him again. This time, he did agree to speak with me. I requested he follow me to my room #122 to preview the massive black spots on the bathroom ceiling. He stated that they are aware of the ventilation issue - the hotel treats the problem with Kilz and repaints it every couple of months! I told him I wanted a full refund and hopefully I do not get sick from staying in that room. Trenton looked at me and stated I will refund you $25.00! I pray anyone with allergies thinks twice about staying here! I called the corporate office and was told .. Trenton the manager is stating – he did not see anything, amazing how someone can just lie and get away with it? Traveler beware - you will not get anywhere if you have problems with this hotel. Bathroom was horrendous! Sink clogged - black substance on bathroom walls - odor was horrible. Mananger in other responses to my feedback states I stayed extra days, this is not true - he needs to check his records - I arrived a day late! Still denying he saw the mold, but in other responses he states they were going to paint the mold. - just Like he told me! Ewwww
