I stayed here for 3 nights early November and it was just lovely! It’s right in the centre of fowey in a perfect spot, with amazing views from the back on the terrace. The breakfast in the morning was great and the service from the hotel was very good. My room was nice and pretty spacious though I’d booked the most standard room. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a stay in Fowey!

You almost come across this hotel by accident down a very narrow one way road. Parking is a little walk away, mostly on the flat. The hotel is very quaint, decorated in keeping with a boutique seaside hotel that overlooks the estuary. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We were on a DBB rate; the room was clean and tidy with a view of the estuary and lovely perfumed toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities. The food was excellent in the restaurant including the dinner and the breakfast, waiting staff very professional, difficult to fault this place. If you are thinking of staying don’t hesitate!!!

Excellent location, great view from our room, quality food, friendly staff. However bathroom needed maintenance, shower base had mould and lots of missing grout, bedroom window needed repair attention to detail would improve rating, wine list was limited and expensive bar prices expensive staff were friendly but not enough particularly at breakfast. Love Fowey but would probably not stay here again.

A lovely little hotel, with a lovely feel to it. Our lady at check in was a delight and very helpful. We opted for one of the cheap and cheerful rooms, but were met with a beautiful little room with a really lovely bathroom. For the price we paid to include breakfast we were impressed at the level of service and quality of the room. My only gripe was having the loo roll holder apart of the toilet brush stand, which didn’t sit right with me on a pleasant or hygienic stance. The carpet (after I had dropped an earring) had lots of long black strands of hair over it (I do not have black hair and my partner has a shaved head) which I felt let the room down on a whole, especially as the bathroom was spotless, so it clearly hadn’t been hoovered. Breakfast was really well done and my partner commented how well it was executed. The receptionist lady was great and was whizzing around serving on her own with finesse and efficiency. I would recommend this hotel if you’re in town on a short visit and need a solid performing hotel. It’s not too far from the harbour car park and is easily walkable with a case or two.

Hadn’t been to Fowey before and think we chose well for the property location. Lovely big bed in our room, 2. It was a very quiet time of year so can’t say if it would have suffered with outside noise. Some of the pubs were shut because of the time of year. We still enjoyed our little break but this is a very small village.

Wonderful experience in a beautiful, clean, quaint, well appointed hotel. Room 12, offered a glorious view of the harbour's activities and was worth the upgrade. We were greeted by lovely, attentive, friendly staff and enjoyed an excellent meal in the dining room on our first night. We particularly enjoyed the tasty cooked breakfast and a big shout out to the Stefan who enthusiastically attended to us when we arrived early to the restaurant one morning. He managed to take our order, serve us tea and coffee and bring a smile to our faces before the day had barely began and then cooked a tasty full English. A great choice for our mini-break away.

Was just perfect on Friday Steak Night, they even had two options for those who are not keen on steaks or meat. Chef and team, thank you. The whole experience provided by the restaurant team was the most enjoyable. Beautiful simple cocktails to start our evening and then the meal. Four different steaks all cocked like we requested Amazing. We will be back. On Friday for sure.

I very much recommend The Old Quay House for those visiting the area. The hotel itself was clean and modern whilst retaining character features. It is well placed for local amenities and exploring the town and areas beyond, and the food in the on-site restaurant was delicious and well presented. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and my stay was very enjoyable overall.

Fabulous location and room, great normal menu but - without warning - for our 2 night break we found it was "Steak Friday". Devastated - you don't expect that in a place like this
