Clean good sized room, basic but suitable for a sleep stop for a long journey. Security doors to corridors so it felt safe. Haven’t had a traditional key lock in a hotel room for a while but it was a basic hotel. Only downside was the smell! We arrived late so couldn’t leave windows open for long as was too cold. It had impregnated into the bedding. I assume it was due to the room being shut up for a while and not aired but it was very unpleasant.

We were travelling north and stopped off (pre-booked) at Lancaster M6 Travelodge. It's so convenient being on the M6. Car parking was easy and plentiful and there are loads of amenities on the Services including M&S, Costa, KFC, Burger King, W H Smith and others - all within a very short walking distance. We arrived late and were warmly greeted by the 'Night Manager'. He was so helpful, very knowledgable, and friendly. Despite being so close to the motorway, the room was very quiet and we got a peaceful night's sleep. Great price and highly recommended!

Avoid. Corridors smelt of smoke. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. Room next door sounded like they were having a party which went on until about 2am causing alot of stress and frustration as we needed to get up early the next day. Went to reception 3 times and phoned several times and nothing got done. Complained and felt the £20 refund given was not acceptable for the experience we suffered. Will never stay at another travel lodge again.

I was travelling home and used the hotel as a late stopover. Everything was fine and in order, staff very pleasant and helpful

It's decent enough for an overnight stay. The staff were friendly amd helpful. The hand soap wasn't replaced so had to use the soap dispenser by the bath but otherwise relatively lean and tidy. A handy place for a trip up north. Not much more to say really.

This hotel is on a service area on the M6. It’s not clear how to enter the hotel in the evening as the lighting is not good. The inside of the hotel was spotlessly clean but very dated and needs a facelift. The staff on reception were very welcoming and it was quick to check in and check out. If you need a cheap hotel travelling north for one night this will serve you well.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, everything was accommodated for and the location was convenient. The hotel itself was clean, including my room and common areas. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely by using this hotel again.
