Christianne was a very welcoming host and nothing was any trouble to her Room lovely and warm and cosy Continental breakfast was great Good location and quiet Definitely going back highly recommended As a traveller who stops in many hotels and bed and breakfasts i can say this place is most welcoming

We spent a lovely weekend here. Everything from the warm welcome and the offer to carry my case up to our room when we arrived until we left on Sunday morning was just perfect. Our room was lovely and with little extras you don't usually get.....bathrobes, a hot water bottle and a fleece blanket, a cafetiere, a teapot, a Tunnocks Wafer and a Tunnocks Teacake. The room was warm with heating easy to regulate, the bed was very comfortable and the ensuite with shower was very good and with toiletries provided. We had invited some family for an evening meal with us on the Saturday and everything was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. There is so much attention to detail and the owner and all the staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is a memorable one. We will definitely return.

We went on Thursday 26th October 2023 and when we went in it was empty. We were greeted by a man who took us to a table then a woman gave us the menu. On looking at the menu it was soooo overpriced for what was available. We decided to have the fish and chips. The only good thing was the chips. The fish was awful in the most dreadful batter and the processed peas that had been puried were dry and uneatable. We had a lager and a small wine. For that meal there was no change from well over 50 pounds. A guest came in whilst we were there and having listened to the conversation he was having with the owner it is a very good place to stay. The owner indicated it was the bed and breakfast that did well and NOT the restaurant. We would suggest the owners review and change the menu and bring down your prices. Your prices are so pricey. If you did this your restaurant would do much better. We would advise persons thinking about going there to check out the menu before going. On reflection now we wish as soon as we saw the menu we should have politely departed but we were desperate for an meal. From utterly disappointed visitors to this location.
