Hotel San Francesco Ischia

Tuvimos unas vacaciones realmente maravillosas en Ischia y nuestra estancia en el Hotel San Francesco influyó en nuestra decisión de volver. El hotel proporcionó una cama y almohadas realmente cómodas, estaba muy limpio, tranquilo, con aire acondicionado eficiente y balcón con vistas a las colinas. Nuestra habitación era pequeña pero estaba bien. La ubicación está muy cerca de las paradas de autobús, un supermercado y el mar. Todo el personal fue extremadamente agradable y servicial. La comida era abundante y fresca; Comer en el patio protegido con un personal atento bajo la dirección de Rafaele fue muy agradable. Bien hecho a todos en el hotel. Ann y Tom McGuigan

Great little hotel about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Forio and about 10 minutes from the beaches on the way to Forio. This is a great hotel with a beautiful pool, couples friendly and families are also welcome. Breakfast is plentiful though full of pastries! A little more fresh fruit would be appreciated 🍎 The rooms are clean and the design is simple, making it a pleasure to spend a week here!

Thank you, we had a brilliant time. We were in a property just next to the hotel which was part residential and part hotel accommodation. We were expecting one room with an additional single bed, but we ended up with an apartment. It was a fantastic set up with 2 rooms and a huge balcony, which was perfect as we went with our daughter. The staff are amazing, I have coeliac disease, I told them before we arrived and I had a special breakfast every day and they were incredibly accommodating and careful with my meals in the evening. They were so accommodating and caring with our daughter too, who was having a bit of a bad time (nothing to do with the holiday) and wouldn’t eat, they were fantastic, making things that weren’t on the menu, just to try and tempt her and it worked. The hotel is in a good position, the pool was lovely and generally very quiet, the grounds are spotlessly clean. It takes around 20 mins, strolling speed to walk into Forio, which is lovely. The beaches are lovely and the water is so clean and warm. There is a bus at the end of the road which is very regular, buy tickets up front at the tabaconists, very easy process. It was a fabulous 2 weeks, we didn’t want to come home.

Staff are lovely at the hotel from reception, to the restaurant staff and housekeeping just so nice. Food was very good considering the price we paid to upgrade to half board. Wine and soft drinks are a good price for a hotel. Rooms and other areas were very clean. Pool and garden areas are pretty. When we arrived we had no water, I locked myself out of the safe, and the maintenance team dealt with these things promptly. The only negative which was down to booking through TUI is the room we had wasn't pictured as we were expecting. I paid for an upgrade which turned out to be from the pool annexe to a main building not a superior as on my booking with TUI. The hotel said they have contacted TUI about this previously. Lastly really liked the area around the hotel as abit quieter but within walking distance to beach and bars. Thank you San Francesco staff for making my Daughter and my holiday really special.

The hotel is family run, with the highest standards of friendly, efficient customer service, and nothing is too much trouble. It is immaculately clean, and the main building rooms are simply, but nicely furnished. We had a twin room, 215, which was on the top floor and overlooked the beautiful gardens, had an en-suite shower bathroom, and a lovely balcony. Raffael and Ania are superstars in the restaurant, and the entire team are very busy, helpful and friendly as well as efficient. The chef cooks delicious typical Ischia food, and the fish is fantastic, and there are choices to suit everyone. The breakfast is continental, with plenty of tasty choices, and eggs and bacon cooked to order. The buffet table for dinner is also exceptional, and is replenished when necessary. We had lunches there too, which were huge, very delicious and a good price! The pool had plenty of chairs and loungers, and the immaculately kept gardens are stunning. There is a sauna, steam room and heated pool near to the main pool. We both had a massage which was included in our holiday, and felt super relaxed after. We went to Capri on a trip organised by the hotel receptionist, which was nice and interesting, but found prices for shopping in Forio far better, as expected. We rarely visit the same hotel twice, but would be delighted to return to this hotel, as it was a perfect holiday, with exceptional service. Highly recommend a stay here.

The hotel was spotlessly clean. We were in the ground floor of the annex looking out on to a small planted area- very pretty. The outdoor pool was great with plenty of loungers for guests. The garden is stocked with mature trees and shrubs and super outside space to sit and have a drink or snack. Very colourful. We were on a half board basis and the food was good and plentiful. My wife is gluten-free. We had given the hotel advance notice of this and they always ensured that at both breakfast and dinner there were gluten free options. The staff were all really helpful and welcoming. Special mention for Guisi and the others on reception. She answered all our questions before we arrived and arranged tickets for the concert in the Botanical Gardens (every Saturday and Sunday during summer) which is a must and great value at just €20 per person. All in all a great value for money hotel, thoroughly recommend it.
