Sleep and Fly Rome Airport

While on a layover in Rome after a long flight from Dallas we had the pleasure of staying at the Sleep and Fly boutique hotel. We were in constant communication with Luca who met us at the airport in his private shuttle. On the short journey to the hotel he shared valuable information about popular eateries nearby and things to do in the area. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed having dinner on the balcony. Prior to our departure, Luca provided a wonderful continental breakfast and drove us back to the airport. This is a simple but clean and quiet spot. We were flying out the next morning and decided to use Bounce for our bags for our day in Rome and then catch a cab to this hotel. The address was a gated entrance and we were nervous that we either were at the wrong place OR this was the wrong place for us. (Even the taxi driver was unsure for us), the gate opened and our very kind host, Luca took our bags, checked us in and carried the luggage up the stairs to our room. He brought us to the airport the next day and carried the luggage back down the stairs for us. It's a clean and simple place. the rooms are fine, the sheets clean, the beds alright and the bathroom spotless and it was a quiet hotel. We were there to sleep and fly out the next day. I believe they serve breakfast but we left very early. There is a small fee per person to get to the airport (I think it was about 10 or 12 euro). Much more affordable than a hotel in town and it's a bit of a hike to this airport so staying here took the stress off traveling. This is a family run business and Luca takes a lot of pride in his business.

We had two rooms on the first floor and both were perfect. There was a little balcony to sit on and the man made us a cup of coffee/ tea on arrival. They carried our luggage up and showed us how to use the gate and keys etc and explained all that was near by. The transport service for the morning is only $5 euro’s per person and it is so nice not to have to deal with taxis. There is a supermarket a few minutes walk away and lots of places across the road to eat at. I don’t think I could find a better place to stay at with such a attentive family.

I spent one night here and except that I had to leave the next morning, I would happily have spent more time to enjoy Luca's wonderful hospitality and see more of the area. Everything about my stay here was great. The room was so comfortable, really nicely furnished and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. Luca is a super host, from the espresso on arrival and the substantial breakfast (best cappuccino!). Airport shuttle is available on request for a small fee. I used it both on arrival and departure and definitely recommend. I made my reservation for this hotel's proximity to the airport, but left feeling that I had discovered a very special family place to which I hope to return. Thank you Luca.

Flew into Rome for a night from London en-route to UAE. Called Luca on arrival...he picked me up in no time in a very comfortable shuttle bus. Bags dropped and off and I asked him any good local restaurants and bars so he recommended this restaurant nearby in this great little fishing village. I said Luca come join me, lets go for some food and drink so we ventured for top class local Italiano hospitality and a super Italian fresh seafood restaurant with a large variety from the local boats just caught. The presentation of the seafood platter was top class.!! Overall great location, very friendly locals and the accommodation is spotless and very comfortable...super shower and lots of hot water...also nice choice for a quick breakfast next morning including proper cappuccino and coffee made by Luca. Fully recommended, Luca is a gent and looks after his guests from pick up to drop back to airport. Proper decent Italiano family & hospitality. My husband and I stayed two nights before our flight back to the U.S. We both agree that we would stay here again if we came back to Rome. We met several American couples who stayed much longer and toured Italy themselves by rental car. The B&B is very clean and comfortable and the host is very gracious. It is also very secure with a gated entrance. One thing to note is that all the rooms are on the 2nd floor so if you have difficulty climbing up one flight this is probably not the place for you.
