Farnham

It was a decent night's stay but I would say it is a generous four star review. The main thing was the rooms were clean and spacious and the bed was good as well. The basics are taken care of so a 3 star would have been too harsh as it gives you what you need. Also the bathroom was clean and fine. There are elements of wear and tear clear throughout but those things don't bother me as much but may bother others. The service is hit and miss and needs a bit more attentiveness. The check-in process was not smooth and as a result we were put in a room not allocated to us and for single occupancy when we were double occupancy. We were told we would have extra towels brought up to us and this didn't happen so these little things we had to chase. There is no iron in the room so when I asked for that it was provided straight away. I think because of all the issues at reception, we weren't told where breakfast was etc. so the process was smooth at all. There is no phone in the room to call down to reception so if you need anything you have to make your way down. Due to the mix up of the rooms, we were initially told we had to pay for another breakfast but luckily the staff member understood. We booked for the continental breakfast and wasn't great but there is enough there and you can get by. The arrangment is a little strange and not so intuitive of where everything is. It does get explained but it's a little strange how things are placed. Other than that the room has lots of space and comfortable. Overall, if you are staying for a short stay in Farnham, it will do the job.

We arrived at 4.15pm and check in is 3pm, when we got there the receptionist explained he needed to check if our room was ready because housekeeping had been very busy and we had to wait until around 4.40 then our room was ready so not sure what would have happened if we arrived at 3pm. Once in the room, it was not completely clean as one bin had not been emptied and the shower gel had completely run out. On the plus side the bed was really big and comfortable and there is lots of easy and few parking. We stayed because it was convenient for a wedding we were attending in Alton but overall we were disappointed and have stayed in other premier inns that have been a lot better.

great service and the usual comfortable beds that is the Premier Inn's reputation! Lots of carparking and easy access of main roads.

We enjoyed our stay here which was the usual Premier Inn quality we have become used to. Only minor fault was cooked breakfast arriving on day 1 rather dry (I think it had been standing for a while) and on day 2 before we had eaten our cereal, so that it cooled down before we were ready to eat it.
