The Biltmore Hotel & Suites Main Avenue

We will never stay here again. I made the mistake of looking for hotels a few days before move in day at Concordia College in Moorhead. Everything was booked so I chose this hotel. The first room 209 had the most sickening horrible smell. It was unbearable. We called the front desk and the young woman “Sheena” was very sweet. She came up to the room and immediately said, “oh yeah, I smell it” as soon as she walked into the room. It smelled like sewage and a sweet chemical cleaner. There was garbage and old water bottles under the beds. It had obviously not been cleaned in ages. The sheets had hair on them and everything felt damp. The mattresses were sunk in the middle. We were moved to room 211 and it was also very dirty. Old soap and a half a bottle were left in the shower. There is even a squished dead fly under the glass on one of the pictures hanging on the wall. Thankfully the room did not smell…that is until we returned from the College around 5 hours later. The smell is coming from the air vents and had filled the room from leaving the air conditioner on. There is thick dust on the furniture. The black curtains are completely sheer and when you stand outside the room you can see everything and everyone in the room. Right now my daughter and I are sitting with tissue shoved up our noses the block out the smell. We actually went and bought Febreeze for the room but it doesn’t help. There is a bar/grill attached to the hotel and it’s so loud. This hotel is a nightmare. I’m genuinely concerned about bedbugs but I haven’t seen any when I pulled up the sheets. Mattresses are also completely sunk in the middle in this room too. The whole building is dated, dirty, and just plain foul. The ONLY redeeming quality is the gal that was at the front desk earlier. Once again it’s my fault for waiting until the last minute to book. Don’t make the same mistake I did by staying here. So gross!

This hotel was supposedly remodeled. In the first room, the toilet didn’t flush. In the second room, the lights didn’t work and the hair dryers didn’t work. The rooms were very dated. The breakfast was out of many items. They did refund some of my money for the inconvenience.

This was a great hotel. It has large rooms that are very clean and well maintained. Everything's inside with hallways connecting the entire hotel. It has an awesome pool that is heated and indoors. Breakfast was great they had lots to choose from. They also have a laundry available to the guests. Definitely a place we would stay at if we're ever in the area again.

Good location. Clean lobbyand rooms. Friendly front desk staff. Decent continental breakfast with plenty of seating. No elevators so if you have mobility issues be aware. Walls are on the thin side we heard kids running and down the halls until midnight.

Pools - had 2, but the outside one had a bunch of adults drinking around it, so we used the inside one with our 2 young kids Rooms - clean, but a bit outdated and very small. Cramped for 2 adults and 2 kids Check-in - took a bit longer than usual. 1 friendly staff, 1 not so friendly Breakfast - go early to avoid the rush, had sausage, gravy, biscuits, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. Same as every other hotel we went to.

First time I stayed in a room with a recliner! Overrun with kids on sports trips but they shared the pool and hot tub and whoever was supervising them kept them on a curfew. Breakfast is a notch below Hampton Inn, bathroom was so small you had to stand in the shower stall to shut the toilet door. Hot tub was over-chlorinated. Bed was comfortable. Price was great for a decent bed. Note that outdoor pool is not heated.
