"Visité el hotel Idi a principios de los 90 y disfruté de una estancia muy relajante. La experiencia fue tan buena y guardo tantos recuerdos agradables que decidí volver. Por supuesto, ha habido muchos cambios y mejoras en los años transcurridos: nuevos edificios con más habitaciones, comedores más elegantes y amplios; pero lo que no ha cambiado es la sensación de tranquilidad y el alto nivel de atención personalizada al cliente. Los propietarios y su equipo trabajan incansablemente para brindar un servicio excelente, y lo hacen con alegría y entusiasmo. Recomiendo encarecidamente alojarse en el hotel Idi para una escapada revitalizante en un lugar hermoso y apartado, que además es un punto de partida ideal para acceder fácilmente al resto de la isla de Creta."

"Matala es una pequeña ciudad maravillosa, lejos de las multitudes de los mejores lugares conocidos en Creta. El hotel Matala Bay es bienvenido, con un personal amigable. El hotel es muy limpio y las habitaciones son eficientes. Su hotel de 3 estrellas, pero ha sido recientemente modernizado. El hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy cerca de la ciudad. Muchas opciones de pan, cereales, carne fría, quesos y pasteles. "Me and my disabled partner arrived here to stay for 1 night. My partner could use the elevator, for which we were very grateful. They've also just opened a pool on the rooftop terrace. It's very small but great to cool down on a hot day. The room was spacious enough with a proper balcony. Unfortunately we hardly slept because the mattress was really hard. My partner was in pain because of it. The breakfast was lovely and the family who runs it is so warm and welcoming. They've also just adopted a puppy, little Spitha. Adorable but quite loud from time to time. We had dinner at Vergara, where Vivi gives you an unforgettable experience. I would recommend it to anyone. We would love to come back some day, just need to look at the mattress situation."

"I think it's the worst hotel I've been in... The food, let's not talk about it, it's totally indecent (the lunch is nothing continental, low standard. The evening meal, 1 normal dish and 1 vegetarian dish. As starters, salad, tomatoes, onions, olives, ... dessert, 1 fruit...) And what's more, it's not even good, the leftovers reused as much as possible, boiled eggs that have been hard for several days... At least we discovered some great little restaurants in town! The wifi does not work in the rooms even though it says "Wifi in the rooms"! When we complain about it, they say it works on the terrace, which is not true, we have the signal but impossible to connect. And when by some miracle it connects, nothing happens! It seems that it's because of the mountains, that it's like that everywhere in Greece, I have to deal with it... while the wifi works very well in the restaurant and everywhere else in Matala in the restaurants! At the Calypso hotel, we even receive wifi from surrounding hotels, but unfortunately no password :( TV. We're not here for that but still, at the limit, I would prefer that it not There aren't any! 3 channels: 2 German and one French-speaking. All almost as scrambled as Canal + without a decoder. The French-speaking channel remained frozen 4 days a week and what's more, they chose LN24 but the African version! Nothing against it, but this information interests me less... I had asked for a room on the ground floor, we were put on the highest floor... A broken fridge remained at the bottom of the stairs during the entire stay... Icy reception, I was even yelled at because I wasn't parked in the right place. And at the reception, you have to manage: we go up there with our luggage, we are given a sheet with some practical instructions and then it's you manage. And no one to help with the luggage... they are there, sitting, but no one moves... nice The girls who take care of the cleaning and clearing the tables in the restaurant are nice, but we have to clear our table ourselves! Is this a hotel or are we at home? A word of advice, there are other hotels, avoid this one, even if it is not expensive! Written promises but nothing in practice. Positive: the swimming pool but we have the sea very close..."
