The Buckerell Lodge Hotel is a transit hotel , it is some what dated BUT full of character , the staff were friendly and efficient , check in very quick , the room was light and well aired , the Dinner meal was of a good standard and hot !! For what it costs , it is good value for money . If you are looking for luxury look at 4/5 star hotels . i was not dissapointed . Well done !!!

Booked via *********** a 2 night stay enroute to Falmouth. Parked in car park....went to check in to be faced by a locked entrance. A man came to door. When we asked to check in he said the hotel was closed and should not be advertised. I said I had booked months ago and he said get in touch with ***********. They were unaware of the closure. Shocking way to run a hotel.

Stayed with a friend early April for 3 nights. The room was very nice, clean and functional and the bathroom was nice and clean with a lovely big bath. The staff could not have been any more helpful if they tried - they were great, knowledgeable about the area, telling us things to do and the best places to eat and how to get everywhere. Only had breakfast one of the mornings and it was lovely, very good. Altogether a very enjoyable stay, would definitely stay here again

Stayed here for one night. Had to bend to have a shower as it was broken, then very powerless. One towel, even though it was booked for two people. Uncomfortable bed, no hairdryer, no bin, no coffee just tea, no biscuits. Rude staff, was waiting for 15 minutes before someone served at the bar. Cigarette ends everywhere out side. Just ver disappointed in my stay, as photos looked nice on viewing before i booked, unfortunately i won’t be returning.

This was my second stay at the buckerell, a long weekend with friends and family ,and noticed a big difference in the the way the hotel was run ,young professional team nice friendly welcome,bar prices very reasonable aswell as there food menu for a wee nibble .rooms where up to scratch and breakfast to set you up for the day ,booked up again in October.

We have twice now used the Buckerell for our weekend gathering, and it's perfect foe us. The staff can't do enough for you, and the recent improvements to the building have made quite a difference! We'll be back

Off to a great start when they had lost our direct booking with the hotel and our room wasnt avaliable! Fair play after 15 minutes we were split up in different rooms. Rooms were really dirty and delapidated. It was cheap and I had read reviews so I was braced for it! car park has no lights so really difficult to park and to find the car!

I was told this was a lovely hotel.. I wish I had read the reviews. It is tired and dated but worst of all the entire place smells of cigarette smoke. There was a smoke detector in the room flashing all night. Lots of banging doors through the night. I didn't get much sleep, I was so fed up I left at 4.30 am
