"I have stayed in Vale Gale hotels several times before and to be honest always had a great experience. However at the Evora hotel for the first time I had an awful experience. They’ve put me in a bedroom which the only way to describe it is as an ashtray. They apparently let guests smoke inside their bedrooms and it was unbearable to stay (and I mean you could smell the cigarette from the corridor). Ahh! And I had a 6yo with me… so lovely welcome from them! As soon as I got there I went down to the reception and they said they had no other bedrooms and the best they could do was to send a cleaning lady with a spray to try to make it smell less bad, and they could only change me to a normal bedroom the next day. Then when I was literally about to take a room at the Ibis next door because the bedroom was really unbearable they called the manager and… wait for it… they had a bedroom available. Only that it was their “superior” bedroom (tbh, same thing as the standard, only with a view to the pool), and apparently they were very happy to let me sleep with a child in a bedroom smelling like an ashtray so they could keep they non-sense “superior bedroom” free that night (I still can’t believe it)…. So, after 1hr of drama, they put me in a normal bedroom not smelling of cigarettes… and, with not even a pause for the ridiculous situation they put me in…. they told me I have to change bedroom the next day… because according to them I had booked a standard bedroom and the bedroom they had to put me in was a “superior bedroom” so I can’t stay in the same bedroom for 2 nights… 😂 These guys are very good at playing pranks here… so my advice is to watch out, specially if you’re traveling with kids! They really have no trouble in putting you and your family in a trouble they created themselves! Thank you Vila Gale management!"

We began with a wine and ham tasting, showcasing the quality of Alentejo products. At the suggestion of a staff member, we enjoyed an excellent Alentejo cheese and sausage board, accompanied by an "Alento" red wine, in perfect harmony with the group of friends we had. A fantastic afternoon by the pool also allowed us to explore the hotel's beautifully designed space, which provides travelers with a truly relaxing stay in the Alentejo. The ever-present friendliness and efficiency of the hotel staff are a highlight. We promise to return, without a doubt. We congratulate the owners for creating a welcoming space with just the right amount of glamour in the heart of Alentejo. A recommendation from the Brazilian Gastronomy Guide."

"Me he alojado una noche, el hotel está en un entorno natural bonito rodeado de naturaleza y próximo a Évora. En verano tiene que ser un lugar agradable ahora es algo melancólico. Las habitaciones están en otro edificio independiente al principal, son confortables, por comentar algo, lo más deteriorado es el baño, el gresite de la ducha tiene las juntas oscurecidas. Los amenitjes son correctos. Tienen máquina de café de cápsulas como cortesía y chanclas que me pareció muy buena idea. La zona de solárium de la piscina exterior estaba siendo arreglada. Disponen de SPA. Las zonas comunes son amplias y acogedoras, la decoración es bonita. La sala de desayunos es pequeña y los productos del mismo son normales, muy normales me esperaba mucho más, en cuanto a variedad y calidad. El personal es amable."
