Do not even think about booking this supposed 'Riad'. We booked the King Suite which turned out to be an average-size double room with attached bathroom and no private terrace. No house-keeping. They claim to have both a restaurant and a coffee house. They have neither. The swimming pool was an algae-infested health hazard. Within minutes of arriving, the proprietor Halima Jebbari was on the phone demanding we immediately hand over several hundred Euros in cash. When we suggested they might have mentioned this earlier, we were accused of breaking their 'protocols'. For the next two days, we found ourselves alone on the property during the day with no food or drinking water, no means to make tea or coffee. We were limited to just 60cl of water each per day. They refused to sell us more despite plenty in the locked store cupboard. Breakfast is only 'fabulous' if you like lots of bread and jam and don't want fresh fruit or yoghurt. The single omelette (to be shared) was cooked in the most rank, stale oil. Dinner, reheated by the man who opens and shuts the gate, was a small tajine (to be shared) with minimal starter and no desert. No tea or coffee. Finally, we were 'escorted' to several banks and ATMs to withdraw the demanded cash in local currency. No receipt was offered. We were over-charged 100 Euros. Less than 24 hours later we were reported for doing a runner from the place and not paying our bill. If you read this and then book a suite you need your head testing.
