Super 8 by Wyndham Erwin

I had to wait a few days so my perspective was clear on writing a review. My view on this hotel is stay far away from it , upon arriving to Super8 in Erwin, TN. A major car repair was going on not 6 feet from the front door entrance i believe it was the son of the manager it looked like a catalitic converter exhaust repair, I should have turned right around and left. I proceded to get a room anyways, the curtain in the room was full of holes as well as the bedspreads had holes in them. Then it got worse the shower had black mold , it even had black electrical tape wrapped around the shower head, and no protective cap so you could see the interior wall through the hole , the tub spicket was not seated against the wall, there was a gap there too. the bathroom light cover was broken in half. the ceilings had major water damage stains going from the shower all the way to the far side of the ceiling. There was also water damage stains in the hallway also. The electrical outlets kept blowing our cell phone chargers saying on the phone screen that moisture has been detected and charging will not continue, and they never worked after that ,we bought 3 chargers and it blew every one of them We figured out there must be moisture in the electrical outlets and stopped plugging in anything.. There was a little patio area with tables there was car parts back there along with 20feet of pipes, and bunches of other items , as well as plants in buckets, and for being a non smoking hotel there were hundreds of cigarette butts all over the ground. I showed the pictures i took about the black mold he stated it was not dangerous, and he did not seem to care about the health hazard it causes. It is a hotel that is in major disrepair and a health hazard to boot. I stayed here for two days in June and found it to be one of the better maintained Wyndham properties that I've stayed at and there have been quite a few disappointing ones. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and everything worked. I don't understand the negativity in some of the reviews. Are they expecting Wyndham Grand at Super-8 prices?

Dirty Rooms, AC filters were black, AC leaking on floor, key cards did not work, chairs in room were stained and gross! Dirty envelope on dresser asking guests to leave tips. We left early,this was not a good experience!
