We booked here due to cost and reviews. Like many things in life, there are pros and cons. The room was large, but there were NO windows, so the only ventilation was a door to the metal fire escape. This same escape is used by other guests, so anyone in other rooms can come into that room if the door is open. There is no air conditioning either, something to think about in summer. Parking is free and available, and we had no trouble getting a spot. The bed seemed a bit older, but was fine for one night, and we slept well. Everything in the room was clean and, although older, in reasonable condition. The bathroom took up a large corner of the room and had a shower with no curtain or glass. There was a tub with a shower hose and sprayer head, but there was nowhere to hang the sprayer head. So, one of us had to be in the bathroom to hold the sprayer head while the other person showered and washed their hair. Seriously, it's not difficult or expensive to buy a holder for the sprayer head and attach it to the shower wall. The breakfast was basic. Croissants were just okay, machine coffee was drinkable. The breakfast room is large and light-filled, with spotless panes of glass on the enormous windows. Décor is very seasonal and very copious (spring, bunnies, etc) and the walls in the staircase and halls are covered with chicken-themed items....nearly all of which are in English. It felt like we stayed at a Hallmark Cards hotel. We loved Honfleur and hope to return, but this is our sole stay at this hotel.
