I did two business trips to Pekin and I tried two different but comparable hotels. I first did the EconoLodge in Pekin and the second I did the Super 8 in Pekin and both were about the same price. See my review on the Super 8; the EconoLodge was way better. The room was rather dated which made it feel slightly dirty but the bed sheets seemed clean. I had a suite that was roomy and the bed was decent (though the comforter left a bit to be desired). The room had your standard fridge, microwave, iron/iron board, and wifi. The continental breakfast was adequate (not like the Super 8, ugh) with cereal dispensers, juice dispensers, coffee/tea and a waffle maker. Everything looked fresh. I would recommend the EconoLodge every day and twice on Sunday over the comparatively-priced Super 8. Also I could not justify paying over $50 more per night to stay at the Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn.
