"Wonderful accommodation in a peaceful environment next to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. What's more, the staff was very kind and helpful. I would go back there with no hesitation."

Ella Retreat

"Exceptional service and incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and pay attention to every little detail. They truly made us feel welcomed and ensured that our stay was comfortable, relaxing, and unforgettable. The cuisine was excellent, with a wonderful balance of local and international flavours, complemented by creative local touches. Special kudos to Irosh, Akila, and the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Your warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail truly stood out. Thank you, and wishing the new team at Uga Gihiri all the very best! We hope to visit again. ❤️"

Ellas Edge Resort

"Amazing view, good room, ok bathroom, 100% avoid restaurant. This property can be so amazing with small upgrades e.g. making reception better, making restaurant better or instaĺling just shower participation. Their views are great."

Happy Sky Ella

"We booked this hotel well in advance with an advance payment, which based on the request of the hotel. During the advance payment, inquired about the hotel access road for the vehicles, was possible and confirmed by the hotel itself. On the arrival day (16th April) we turned from the main road to the hotel access road and the drive possibility was limited to certain distance from the main road. We tried our best to take our vehicle up to the hotel even with the help of people were in around, was not possible due to the condition of the road. We contacted the hotel and reported this difficulty and unfortunately the option got from the hotel was, somehow take the vehicle up to the hotel. Since it is almost night, no body was willing to assist us in around, unless we walk up to the hotel with all the luggages and belongings. We made our last effort for some time to move our vehicle up to the hotel and we had to give up all our efforts finally. Since the hotel did not take any further assistance towards us, we had to to look for an alternative option to spend the night. We asked for the possibility of getting a shuttle service, was just ignored. Sad part is, still we did not get any favourable assistance or courtesy call to check our condition and this made us a really disappointment with the hotel. We never received such a negative behaviour and negative attitude from any of the hospitality properties. There is no refund for our advance payment even."

Lakshmis Hotel Ella

Ella Nimal Nest Inn

"Stayed for 2 nights in November in the family room with mountain view & our own roof terrace with table, chairs & hammocks. Our room was very nice, clean & the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was a good size. The breakfast was delicious & the view from the roof terrace was great & we were lucky enough to watch a giant squirrel building it's nest at the top of a tree, as well as see some tiny squirrels & it was lovely to see & hear the birds singing early in the morning. The owner Nimal was welcoming & very friendly & helpful. It's a short tuktuk ride into the centre, or you can walk - take a torch if walking in the dark There is a nice restaurant very close to the hotel too."

Moi Ella by DBI

Hidden Pine Ella

"This was my first time in this city and my stay here was amazing. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, offering a full immersion in nature that you can't find in big cities. The atmosphere and accommodation were very private. The owners provided excellent service, making me feel like family. The rooms were large and spacious, not at all intimidating. On my arrival, I requested to try on traditional Sri Lankan clothing, and the accommodation provided it for me. I was extremely impressed."
