The Postcard Velha, Goa

Me and my wife we stayed for one night at the Postcard Velha and we would have loved to stay longer, the hotel is in a beautiful secluded setting above Old Goa, has an intimate feeling and the service is spotless. The rooms are very good and so are the meals.. A place we would love to return.

Postcard Velha is unlike any hotel I’ve experienced. Truly exceptional. The building and gardens are undoubtably stunning, however it’s the staff that make this place really magical. Every tiny detail was thoughtfully considered, and every request met with a cheerful “certainly, sir.” The team were friendly, warm, and attentive — always available without being overbearing. Our room was impeccably serviced twice daily, with handwritten notes and favours left each evening. The food was extraordinary. We were lucky enough to have chef Creighton prepare most of our meals. He took the time to talk to us daily about the menu and tailored every dish to our preference. He introduced us to many authentic Goan dishes, which we were absolutely delighted with. Without fail every meal was delicious, and, beautifully presented. Good food is our life, so this was an absolute highlight for us. I’ve not experienced food of this calibre and such a personalised experience at any hotel before. When we left, the team surprised us with a bag of our favourite coffee blend, flown in just for us because they knew we wanted some. Our experience at Velha was so incredible that we changed hotels for the final four days of our honeymoon and booked in to Postcard Cuelim, which did not disappoint! Honestly, we’re so grateful to Creighton, Ritvik, Shashwat, Nishu, Baiju, Franklin, and the rest of the team for making our honeymoon so magical - an extraordinary team and an extraordinary hotel. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect stay and welcome. Excellent service and food. Intimate setting to come at ease and peace. The hotel manger was really friendly and apneas the chef and other personnel. Will definitely return. What stood out especially was the Bilky Hu coffee from India.

We had an exceptional time at Post Card Velha. The property is beautiful and the rooms have a rustic charm to them. We enjoyed the food and Chef made sure to make our meals very special. Mr Shashwat the manager and the entire team Chef Creighton, Ritvik, Baiju, and Nishu gave us an amazing experience. We will be back for sure! A home away from home!

Tucked away in a quaint location, this Postcard property promises you days of complete bliss. After having experienced the heart-winning hospitality of the Postcard team once, we wanted to treat ourselves again for the special occasion of our anniversary, and let me tell you, every penny spent here is completely worth it because you really are treated like royalty. The staff is always around when you need them but never intrusive. They will go above and beyond to fulfil your requests and they’ll do it all with a smile. The doors don’t need to be locked, the mind doesn’t need to be on an overdrive and your doesn’t need to be overstimulated because everything you want and need is just one call away. You’ll feel like it’s your own house where all you need to do is relax and unwind with the beautiful view of the Mandovi river, humming to the songs of the birds, sipping on your favourite drink. The cherry on top is their spa treatments that will take away all of your soreness and leave you feeling like ten years younger than when you walked it. If you are planning to visit this property then I would surely advise you to not plan any thing in advance and just go enjoy the property at the fullest. Properties like these deserve all your attention and give you so much to go back with. Enjoy your anytime breakfast, check-out at your own comfort and pamper yourself with their lovely spa choices. This is how life should be lived at a time where time has become a luxury. My heartfelt thanks to The Postcard team for showing us the best time. We cannot wait to explore more properties by them!

We were at The Postcard Velha this last weekend for a school reunion; 10 of us from different parts of India/ the world. Each one of us has walked away with lovely yet diverse memories - of calm mornings in lush greenery with that perfect cuppa, and boisterous evenings with drinks and the most amazing appetizers (and the host team indulging us with a veryyyyy late dinner too!) The place is divine - beautifully furnished rooms, perfectly maintained outdoor spaces with gazebos and balconies, even a spa for that bit of self-indulgence, if all the amazing Goan and fusion food isn't enough. The menu is eclectic, with healthy options if you so choose. Most of all, the staff is completely out-of-this-world, so polite, prompt and helpful, and at par with the best hospitality experience. Worth every penny that you'll spend on this intimate yet luxury experience. I'll go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful time, The Postcard Velha ❤️
