The Elizabethtown Inn

Staying at Elizabethtown Inn feels like stepping into a living piece of local history. The building’s original architecture and period details have been lovingly preserved, yet every corner feels fresh and well cared for. From the sturdy front porch to the gleaming hardwood floors, you sense the dedication poured into its ongoing maintenance. The owner, Christine greeted us as friends rather than guests. She took time to chat about the inn’s history and even shared stories behind each heirloom piece of furniture. Her genuine care shines through in every interaction. Modern comforts are not compromised. The shower delivers invigorating water pressure, and the four-poster bed is so cozy that you’ll linger under the covers long after sunrise. Every piece of furniture—from the carved armchairs to the antique writing desk—adds character and tells a story. Saturday morning began with a custom-made breakfast—prepared just for us. On Sunday, Christine laid out a sumptuous buffet, that satisfied every palate. Elizabethtown Inn blends historical allure with contemporary comfort, all under Christine’s exceptional care and this charming inn exceeds expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend it for your next North Carolina getaway.

This is a lovely bed & breakfast in a 1800’s looking house. It’s right off the main road, so it can be a bit noisy at night. It’s such a nice, eclectic place with a great ambiance.

The property was wonderful, and the cook to order breakfast was outstanding!
