Sandy Bay Hotel - All Inclusive - Free Beach Access

Lovely hotel in a spectacular location. We were looked after very well by the reception staff and housekeeping, couldn’t have asked for more. The room was spacious and comfortable. No kettle in the room but they had hot and cold water dispensers on each floor fed from large bottled water containers. The food was plentiful, cold stuff on ice, plenty of choice, only letdown was the temperature of the hot food, really needed to be hotter. We went at the end of season so most of the shops etc in the area were shut, there is a supermarket behind the hotel which was useful and a bus or water taxi to go to Nessebar, well worth a visit or two. No problems with stomach upsets, they supply hand sanitizer in the room too. The jeep safari was an awesome trip out, great fun and you learn so much about the area

This hotel is a disgrace Food is cold sometimes warm at best, we didn't eat it as didn't want to become ill, not even a toaster at breakfast, the manager told the rep there was one it must have been invisible Dirty dishes next to fresh food, staff walked past it. Quilts stained, sheets didn't fit the mattress, mouldy shower curtain, beds weren't made just roughly folded and put in bottom of the bed. Corridor carpets are frayed and stained. The list goes on The only positive is the pool and beach

Firstly mini bus drop off 5 minutes walk from the hotel at 12.45 pm in the pitch dark . Welcome meal at hotel an apple and a salad batch . Meals warm if you where lucky and same all the time. Carpets coming apart in hallways to rooms. And all staff (but 3 ) and all the other people staying at the holiday looked like they were at a funeral. Not a place to stay if your British as no one can speak English. I would not stay there again if you payed me . ( I flew with jet 2 ) .

Hotel looks nice so far, however staff is disappointing from the very beginning - 1st contact with the hotel - reception while checking in - the receptionist wasn't helpful at all!!! We arrived to the hotel at 9:30 am and she said check-in is possible only from 14:30 sharp, I tried to kindly ask for earlier check in, but was said that there's no way to get the rooms any earlier, which we understand if the hotel is full, but she didn't event try to check or call someone. Still she could be more considerate with guests and maybe at least try to look in the system or call housekeeping to see if any rooms are ready and try to help! As well there were guests who arrived after us and were given the room an hour and half before us saying they had some excuse to do so. Also the female receptionist told us our all inclusive packages are as well valid only from 14:30, so we have to wait and actually be hungry and thirsty until then. We've been in many 4 and 5* hotels before and literally EVERYWHERE when guests arrive early they try to accommodate them in the rooms as soon as possible and if rooms are not available, they AT LEAST can start enjoying their Al inclusive packages and can use hotel facilities. We didn't even get offered coffee nor simple water for 5 hours waiting for the rooms. Very disappointing in this matter. This staff member was generally speaking rudely to us, we didn't feel welcomed and being taken care of at all.

MPM Zornitza Sand: A fake 4-star hotel. In reality, it’s poorly and cheaply disguised as a 2-star. Let’s start with the room appearance: it’s true that the furniture in the rooms was new, and that’s where anything positive ends. The walls, in an attempt to make the rooms appear renovated, were covered with poorly applied washable wallpaper, with overlapping seams that weren’t properly glued, revealing the wall sockets or anything else underneath. The bathrooms are clearly outdated, with rusty plumbing fixtures and dirt everywhere. For two days, we had no hot water, and on one of those days, we had no water at all. The air conditioning didn’t work at all. It served only as ventilation, nothing more. Moreover, the air conditioning vents were covered in mold—a breeding ground for infection being blown into the room. Under these conditions, in the two rooms we had, how were we supposed to wash our two children? And how were we supposed to rest in temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius? Wash the children with cold water? We complained, but it was in vain. The bathroom towels were extremely old and frayed. The food: the dining area was smaller than at a German guesthouse, the selection of main courses was limited, and everything was far from the concept of ultra all-inclusive. We were asked to pay extra, in cash only, for a frappe… Some dishes were “reinterpreted” at the next meal. The hotel corridors looked awful, with old and torn carpets, and the double-glazed windows were faulty and wouldn’t close, so the wind blew strongly in the hallways. The minibar wasn’t restocked, nor was the toilet paper in the bathroom. Conclusion: disappointing! Far from what a 4-star hotel and the ultra all-inclusive concept should be.

Unfortunately the cleanliness, room keeping is so terrible. 4 dayes staying no towels and bathrobes been changed not either the bed sheets. Bathroom been not cleaned. The carpet is so dirty and not sweeped for 4 dayes. Ashtray not clened/ changed. The only thing been done is the small trashcan. The balcony windows are dirty as well ! . If you care about cleanliness and hygiene so STAY AWAY. You will straggle to swim or go on the beach. Same food every day and the late dinner is just for workers ... we had a ultra inklusive but we had to eat and drink outside in the city.
