As a frequent business traveler with over 30 years of experience staying at hotels around the world, I can confidently say this was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional stays I've ever had. What was marketed as a boutique hotel under the reputable Brown Hotels brand turned out to be a misleading and chaotic experience that fell well below basic hospitality standards. The room itself had a loud, faulty air conditioner and, more disturbingly, my privacy was blatantly violated. Despite displaying a "Do Not Disturb" sign, I was woken up by a call from the front desk demanding to speak about an internal mistake related to breakfast – a breakfast that was clearly included in my prepaid voucher, yet was initially denied to me. I was made to feel like I was trying to scam my way into a meal I had already paid for. To make matters worse, the hotel’s staff tried to shift the blame to the booking platform, rather than owning up to their error. The manager’s response was lackluster, with no real apology and an insulting offer of a partial discount instead of honoring the original agreement. The final insult was learning – too late – that the hotel is no longer truly part of the Brown Hotels chain, despite how it is still presented on booking platforms. This kind of misrepresentation is deceptive and unacceptable. In short: poor communication, disrespectful treatment of guests, refusal to honor confirmed bookings, and a glaring lack of professionalism. Save yourself the trouble – there are far better places to stay in Eilat.

Our experience was in november 2023 but it was horrible and we still never got any response from Brown about it. I booked this hotel mainly because it offered a pool, sauna, massage and free bycyle rental services. Once we arrived we were excited to use those facilities only to find out that they were not there and never had been according to the front desk. They only had a small pool and the people who worked there laughed at us when we asked where the sauna and hottub was. What shocked us the most is that the little booklet they left on our desk in our room even said we could use those facilities. When we wanted to file a complaint the front desk told us to call customer service, and customer service told us to speak to the front desk. no one helped us. Never going to any Brown hotel again.

Disgraceful Conduct, Appalling Service – A Shameful Experience! We never expected such a humiliating experience after choosing to return to this hotel for the third time. All our positive memories from previous stays were erased in one weekend of neglect and shocking mismanagement by the hotel’s management. The hotel itself is rundown and poorly maintained – an unbearable sewage smell rises from the shower and air conditioner, the balcony deck is peeling, room service is limited, there is no cleaning on Saturdays, and guests are expected to replace their towels at the reception themselves. But the worst incident happened on the day of our departure. Before the official check-out time (12:00 PM), hotel staff entered our room without permission, threw all our belongings in the trash, and prepared the room for the next guests—while we were still officially staying at the hotel! When we returned and discovered that everything was gone, we approached the management—only to be met with disgraceful responses. Instead of taking responsibility, they called me a liar, claimed there was nothing in the room, and said, "The housekeeper saw you leave, so they were allowed to enter." When we demanded to know how all our belongings had simply “disappeared,” the answers we received were shameful: "There was nothing in the room," "You’re lying," "The room was empty." But when we mentioned that we had recordings, suddenly they "remembered" and returned our belongings—after finding them in the trash! And it didn’t end there. The attitude of the management was disgraceful. The manager spoke condescendingly, disrespectfully, and with complete disregard for us—even knowing she was being recorded! There is no justification for such behavior in a hotel that claims to respect its guests. To be fair, the hotel staff were kind and tried to help, but when management treats guests this way, no good staff can save the experience. Shameful service, total irresponsibility, and sheer disregard for guests. We will never return and will certainly not recommend this place—stay away!

I stayed here for two nights and have very pleasant memories of my stay. I much prefer smaller hotels and the size of the Vista suited me fine. My room was small but clean and pleasant, with a view out towards the rugged Jordanian hills. Meals were excellent with an excellent variety of food. Staff were not exactly effusive but always helpful - not an uncommon experience in Israel. For me the only downside was no wifi in the room. I had to take my laptop to the foyer to access the internet. I've read many of the vastly conflicting reviews of the Vista on this site and am frankly puzzled by the intensity of the some of the negative reviews. They are completely at odds with my experience, particularly with regards to the food, which for me was a highlight of the place. I did not experience any particular noise (maybe I was lucky) and my room was clean. I would definitely stay here again based on my last stay. As others have said, the hotel is well located, close to many of the big chain hotel monstrosities that abound in Eilat. It is a very pleasant 7 mins or so walk to the beach. The taxi ride from the airport took about 5 minutes. The walk to the airport is about 20-25 minutes.

Overview This is a reasonable place to stay in Eilat and you won’t be disappointed. It’s a clean, modern-looking hotel with decent rooms in a convenient location near the Hilton Hotel. Service We received excellent service from the polite and helpful staff. Even though we only stayed one night we couldn’t have asked for more. They all spoke fluent English. Room Overall we were satisfied with the room. It was not huge but had plenty of storage space. We were unlucky to get one on the first floor that overlooked a construction site next door, but then we only booked at the last minute and were lucky to get any room at all as they were rapidly filling up for the Passover holiday. Other good features of the room included: • A large flat-panel TV that worked well and had a good selection of channels including all the major English news ones • Good lighting • A safe to store valuables • Satisfactory bathroom with good water pressure • Very quiet despite being on the first floor Location & amenities • Good location near the Hilton Hotel. It’s just a short walk to the heart of the tourist strip and the beach although it’s not on the beachfront. But Eilat isn’t a huge place so wherever you stay you’re unlikely to be very far from the action. • There are plenty of buses around although we found it difficult to find the bus stops. Taxis though are so cheap and plentiful that most of the time we choose that as our preferred means of transport. • Lobby and pool area are modern, clean-looking and well maintained. • There is paid internet available in the lobby. Best features The modern, clean-looking interior and lobby, reasonable prices (we paid 460 shekels for a one-night stay in April in a double room with breakfast) and delicious, huge breakfasts. Worst features Room a little on the small side and without a view. Summary At these reasonable prices we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a lovely, clean room that unfortunately faced the side of the Ice Mall, but still... after the long walk at Petra a nice soak in the bath (welcome change from showers) was wonderful. The staff were helpful, full of advice and assistance, the breakfast spread was totally delicious, and the management very professional. We didn't get to swim in the beautiful pool, but soaked our travel-weary, swollen feet in the baby pool before we left. The lounge area would be ideal to have a business meeting, and the synagogue in the basement perfect for travellers on Shabbat!

No Value for money. This is a 2.5-star hotel at most. It's an old property that's been partially renovated. Old and very slow elevator. Hallways looked old with chipped paint everywhere. There's a strong antiseptic smell that seems to be hiding something. Our room was a reasonable size. The bed was pretty comfortable. But everything else was sub-spar. Zero view from the room. Broken toilet seat. The breakfast was OK, but no more than that. The hotel was pet friendly and that's really the only reason to stay there, otherwise go someplace else in Eilat.

For better or worse, most of the hotels in Eilat advertise luxury and charge 5 Star prices, while proving only a 3 Star experience. This Brown Hotel in Eilat promotes a 3 Star hotel and delivers a solid 3 Star experience. To be honest, I was somewhat hesitant when we made our reservation. The Brown Hotel chain in Israel has a mixed reputation. Some of the properties, especially those in Tel Aviv, are not well maintained or properly managed. Thankfully, we had a reasonably good experience during our stay for a long weekend. Location - the hotel is located next to the Ice Mall on a small, quiet street. The boardwalk and beach are a short +/- 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Parking - the hotel's parking lot is small and only has room for a few cars. Paid parking is readily available on the street or in the Ice Mall parking lot. Rooms - our room was rather small and there was no view, although it was clean and properly maintained. The air conditioning worked properly. Breakfast - only breakfast is served at the hotel. The selection was good enough and there was plenty of food. Pool - there is a small and quiet pool. It is clean and there is sufficient amount of shade and chairs. In conclusion, depending on your expectations for a visit to Eilat, this Brown hotel could be a reasonable option.
