SleepOver Orpen Gate

Disappointed that Takeaway breakfasts are no longer an option, however, the other aspects of the sleepover were as good as the first times we stayed. Perhaps the chef could do with some assistance in the evenings!

I stayed at Sleepover Orpen Gate after my Kruger Park days. The location was great after visiting the park! However we were very tired and when we tried to order dinner, we waited more than 1.5h just for a burguer and a sandwich. I think that almost 2h is too much time when we were only 4 guests waiting for the food.

The kitchen service was pathetic. There was no maize meal for pap. One staff member had to bring her own maize meal to cook supper for us. There was no bread, no potatoes. A promise was made that the following day there would be stock. Going back the following evening, the situation was the same. I tried to buy gravy since I had my own bread, but was told that, gravy alone is the same same price of gravy and pap, even though they did not have pap. I rated rooms average because the rooms have a bed only. I understand that maybe the purpose of Sleepover is a one night sleep and go, but for some of us who stayed a bit longer, it would be good to have a small tv set set up in the room and a couch or 2 for relaxation after a long day of traversing the Kruger

Comfortable, clean, everything we need for a quick sleepover before our holiday in the Kruger. Very close to Orpen gate. We will come again!

Pleasant stay. Such a unique way of accommodation. Only let down was that the shop did not have any stock to make us food after our long trip.
