The Last Word Kitara

If I could give The Last Word Kitara 6 stars, I would. Beautiful area, incredible private lodge, exclusive game drives, top notch service and an all-round super special experience. Their attention to detail is exceptional and we were spoilt to the T. They love special occasions and go above and beyond to celebrate. Highly recommend!

My wife Kate and I had a fantastic time at Kitara. We really enjoyed every minute in the lodge and on the game drives. We joined the game drive every day and were lucky to see the Big 5. Our Rangers Nathan and Wusi made an amazing job to find and give us background about the many animals we could see. We also enjoyed the breaks during the drives with coffee and tea in the morning and gin & tonic in the late afternoon. :-) Our time in the lodge was very pleasant. We just left an unexpected and awesome four day adventure at The Last Word Kitara. We had planned on another resort but Audley, our travel agency, recommended this one. From our greeting to our departure, the welcoming and friendly staff was amazing. This is a very small resort, six guest rooms, which led to unexpected pleasant interactions with guests and staff. Our guide, Pierre, was fun, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs as well as focused on conservation. We found lions, hippopotamus, leopards, giraffes, impalas and more completely fulfilling our ambitions. The food and drink more than exceeded expectations with nightly options including ostrich and kudu all expertly prepared.

This incredibly special place did not disappoint. The game drives by the professional guides & trackers were truly unforgettable . The special touches every day and dedicated service to your every need catered for was a big spoil . So happy we celebrated our 20 Yr wedding anniversary in such a special place !

We were impressed by the luxurious accommodations and exceptional service. The lodge’s intimate setting, with only six suites overlooking the Klaserie River, provided a serene and exclusive safari experience. The suites were spacious and elegantly furnished, featuring en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers. The private balconies offered breathtaking views of the river, where we could observe wildlife passing by. The infinity pool and viewing deck were perfect spots for relaxation and elephant spotting. Game drives with Connor and Patric were amazing! We learned so much! Felt so secure with both of them and enjoyed it to the fullest! Their keen eyes and deep understanding of the bush ensured that we had remarkable wildlife sightings, including the Big Five. The breakfast, lunch, snack and dining experiences were exceptional and the chefs created us a memorable dishes and experiences. Everyone working at Kitara made our stay just perfect. Overall, The Last Word Kitara exceeded our expectations, offering a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic safari adventures. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone seeking an intimate and unforgettable experience in the Greater Kruger area.

Amazing place! The crew went out of their way to make it an special experience. The rangers tried so hard to find the animals you wanted to see and de hostesses made sure we had an amazing Christmas. Everything was clean and the food was good. Thank you!
