Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve

Wow, what an incredible experience!! Absolutely everything was just perfect. We're fortunate to have been on many safaris throughout Africa and can honestly say Leopard Hills is right up there with the very best of them. From the moment we arrived, we received such a friendly welcome and felt that we were treated as part of the family and indeed the lodge is managed by Duncan, his wife and his lovely family, which was apparent in the absolutely first class service we received throughout. Our accommodation was stunning with a big deck with a pool with open views over the bush. The property has recently had an extensive, very stylish renovation and we were just blown away by how beautiful our room was. It was pure luxury! The housekeeping was excellent and everything you could possibly wish for was included in our room. The little extra touches were to be seen everywhere. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary whilst we were there and they certainly went above and beyond to make it incredibly memorable. The attention to detail was amazing. The public areas are stunning too. The reception area is so beautiful. There is a large dining deck with unobstructed views over the bush and a really lovely bar area. The service was excellent and the food totally delicious, excellent choices and beautifully presented. The choice of wine, cocktails and all other drinks was first class. Our dinner in the boma on one evening was so very special and, as always, the food delicious. I have to mention Carmen, the Food and Beverages Manager, who was so super friendly and professional. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for her. She looked after us so well. Also Portia in reception who does an excellent job, but all the staff are equally good. Most importantly, the game viewing was just incredible. We were with 2 rangers during our stay, Justin and Stuart, both of whom were so knowledgeable and did the most fantastic job. All our game drives were absolutely superb. The list of animals we saw is endless and the rangers and trackers went the extra mile to give us the best possible safari experience. As to be expected with a name like Leopard Hills, we got very close to not only leopards, but lions too. Without a shadow of a doubt, I could recommend Leopard Hills Private Game Lodge to anyone considering a safari in South Africa. A once in a lifetime amazing luxury safari experience. Thank you so much to all the team at Leopard Hills for their hard work and effort. We were very sad to leave but are hoping to return in the not too distant future.

Leopard Hills is truly a remarkable place. We just returned from our safari trip and are hoping to plan another visit! Every staff member was attentive and warm, going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. A special shoutout to Spha, Innocent, and Clarence (I hope I got the names right!). The rooms are beautifully decorated & comfortable, offering stunning views and the chance to see wildlife right outside. Our guide, Justin, and tracker, Desire, made sure we experienced everything possible during our drives, all while teaching us about the dynamics of the various animals. Not only did we encounter the Big Five, but we also gained so much knowledge about the bush and its inhabitants. I can't recommend Leopard Hills enough, and we hope to return soon!

Utterly awesome in every aspect. Leopard Hills delivered outstanding hospitality, stunning facilities and safaris that were beyond belief. Under the managerial leadership of Duncan, everyone was exceptionally friendly and delivered what has far surpassed any holiday I have ever been on. Our ranger Michael along with tracker Advice (not sure of spelling), took us on safaris that allowed us the privilege of seeing the Big 5 (and many other animal types) at very close quarters. We will be going back as this is such a fantastic experience that I will never forget.

Amazing, once in a lifetime safari lodge. My husband took me here for my 40th birthday and it was genuinely the best birthday present ever. We saw the "super seven" (big 5 + cheetah and wild dog) during four game drives over three days, gleefully narrated by Justin and tracked by Bongs. Justin's expertise is matched only by his sense of humor and his joy for his work, and Bongs' eyes are so keen we saw even the tiniest of frogs and monitor lizards. Oh, and Justin found a pack of 13 wild dogs, a cheetah making a kill for her three babies, three different leopards, millions of ellies, and an adolescent lion snacking on a zebra. Like... what is this magical place?! I really can't say enough positive things about this whole experience. If you can swing it $$$$-wise, GO NOW!!

I stayed at Leopard Hills for four nights in June 2024 on a solo trip. The experience was amazing! My guide, Morne, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and I was able to see all of the animals I was interested in (including the big 5). The room at the lodge was nice and comfortable and had the best views of a watering hole where I could see the animals. Every meal I had was great and I particularly enjoyed the boma dinners. I will definitely be back in the future.

Where to start?? I stayed two nights here, so a total of 5 or 6 game drives. I was welcomed warmly upon arrival and then headed out on my first game drive with Mo and Advice. The staff were wonderful overall, just went out of their way to do anything possible to make your stay better. My room was immaculate, and I loved my patio and private plunge pool...though the challenge with safari stays is that you never feel like you get quite enough time to truly enjoy the lodge and room vs. taking advantage of being out on game drives! The food was generally great overall (I would have loved a sweet option at breakfast, such as pancakes, but that's a nitpick), great drink options, and I can't imagine how you could ever be hungry here...food all the time! And then WOW the game drives! I've included a few pics here, but I can't speak highly enough about how amazing they were. We saw all sorts of animals over the course of the drives, from leopards and lions to the rare cheetah, elephants and giraffes and zebras, tons of wildebeests, impala, kudu, hyenas, water buffalo...just so much! Advice and Mo were so skilled, patient, and knowledgeable, knew the landscape and the animals' behaviors so well. And I loved our morning coffee/"bush mix" stop and evening sundowners. I'd come back to Leopard Hills in a heartbeat!
