We absolutely LOVED our stay at Jock!! The staff was AMAZING!! Our room was in perfect condition, the food was high quality gourmet, the the game drivers were very knowledgeable and great at finding the animals! (We are partial to Lazarus, but all were great) I can't say enough about our stay at Jock we 100% stay here again!! 100% worth every penny!! Plus they made me feel extra special for my birthday!!

Where do we begin describing our stay at Jock Safari Lodge? From the moment we arrived at Skukuza airport and saw Lazarus’s huge smile greeting us to the moment Patrick took us back 5 days later, we lived in a dream world. Jock Safari Lodge is a concession within the Kruger which means you get exclusive access to a large area that surrounds the lodge. This means you are often the only vehicle in the area. We occasionally saw another Jock wagon if there was a good opportunity to see animals or if we had to transit on a larger road. You will certainly see the big five but you’ll see and experience so much more. The game drives were absolutely the highlight of our stay. The Lodge is beautiful, and small enough to have a very ‘family’ vibe. The rooms are very comfortable, exceptionally clean and well appointed. Each room has its own very private outside space with a plunge pool, outside bedroom, bath and shower. The food is superb and rest assured you will never go hungry at Jock with no less than 8 opportunities a day to eat! The staff are without exception wonderful. Warm, welcoming and incredibly hospitable, thank you Precious, Khaya and all the team for looking after us so well. Finally, Lazarus, the Head Ranger is exceptional. His warmth, humour, unbridled passion and vast knowledge of the flora and fauna that live in his ‘office’ is infectious. Thank you Lazarus for sharing the very special world you live in; it was one of the best experiences of our lives. We planned for this to be the trip of a lifetime and it exceeded that billing. We wouldn’t change a thing and would wholeheartedly recommend Jock Safari Lodge to anybody who wants a magical and unforgettable safari experience in the Kruger.

If you are looking to do safari, this is the place. They organised our airport transfers to and from the lodge and the fact Jock have private land that other vehicles cannot use make the experience even better. It's simply incredible

I stayed at Hoyo Hoyo for three nights in September with a group oif friends that I was escorting around the Kruger Park. The first impression was Wow - this is a beautiful lodge, set alongside a dried up riverbed (in September, at least - the river flows in the rainy season and almost reaches up to the lodge). Elephants were frequently sighted in the riverbed and at the waterhole opposit the lodge. Meals are taken on the huge deck opposite the waterhole, where we observed leopard, hyena, giraffes, a whole host of antelopes, zebra and many more. The food is excellent, served by lovely friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable with a huge bath inside and an outside shower. The game in the reserve was plentiful and Janine, our guide, was knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely return.

The Jock Safari lodge was an amazing and wonderful place. Each room has large private indoor and outdoor spaces including separate indoor and outdoor shower, soaking tub and king bed. Each room has an extensive viewing area for wild animals all protected by electrified fences. The daily game drives featured wonderful and knowledgeable guides and they seat only 2 people in a (3 person) row so everyone has a “window view” of the animals… it was one of the greatest experiences of our lives..
