Duncan, who runs the place, was very communicative, gave me every information I needed to get there. The check-in was very easy and contactless, although you could choose whether you want it to be face to face. The guest house is in a residential area, the bus stop is just around the corner and the buses from there take you to the city in a few minutes. The bed was comfy, there was enough storage in the room to put my stuff away. Tea, instant coffee and tea cattle were provided. The heater in the bathroom was a real gem! It was freezing the night I spent there and I would be still warming up if I hadn't had something like that to make me feel warm. Don't take me wrong, there was a heater in the room as well, but the one in the bathroom was just the ice on the cake. 🙂 Complimentary breakfast was provided on the first level with a nice view of the street and the mountains at the back. There were a variety of options to choose from. Duncan really did his best to please us, even leaflets were provided to help us choose which sightseeing options we got or what we wanna do in Edinburgh.
