La ubicación es muy buena, pero cuando llegué por la noche, tuve que llamar a la recepción tres veces antes de contestar. El sistema de aire frío de la habitación no puede calentar la habitación y el sistema no se puede ajustar al aire caliente, por lo que me despertaré del frío en medio de la noche.

Ubicación del hotel: Está un poco lejos de la estación de tren, porque las calles de Edimburgo son muy cuesta arriba y cuesta abajo. Si llevas maletas, tomar un taxi hasta el hotel no es conveniente. La distancia entre el hotel y los lugares pintorescos no es demasiado grande, por lo que es conveniente para viajar. El hotel es muy tranquilo por la noche. Hay 3 supermercados y un Starbucks cerca, lo cual es muy conveniente. La habitación es grande y tiene equipamiento de cocina, lo cual es muy conveniente. El baño es un poco pequeño, pero no afecta su uso. La habitación no tiene bañera. La desventaja es que la cama doble es demasiado pequeña para dos personas.

La estación de tren salió del otro lado de la estación de tren, salió de la calle del mercado y caminó a la izquierda por un paso, vería una pequeña puerta negra, no habló con el portavoz, alguien abrió la puerta, puso la puerta en el ascensor y se podía llegar directamente a la recepción. Otra manera es subir por las escaleras adyacentes. La habitación es caliente y limpia, y ofrece dos vasos de agua caliente gratis.

Este hotel es histórico y grandioso, lo recomiendo encarecidamente. Alguna vez fue la casa del capitán del puerto para el puerto de Leith y realmente tiene todo el encanto de un edificio histórico, ¡pero con muchas mejoras geniales! El área es realmente encantadora, justo al lado del agua y un viaje en autobús bastante rápido a todos los sitios del centro. Todos y cada uno de los miembros del personal, desde el restaurante, hasta el servicio de limpieza y la recepción, hicieron todo lo posible por ser amables, serviciales y atentos. Este fue el viaje de mi vida y realmente hicieron que mi visita a Edimburgo fuera aún más. Recomiendo encarecidamente The Malmaison. Muchas gracias por una excelente estadía.

Awful hotel that is definitely not 4* and the service is not at Hilton level at all…. The hotel goes under the renovation and there were only 2 lifts with queues and they are also used by the staff too We had a room for 3 people and had all set up for two people only, the room was dirty with hair in the shower and the ceiling. When I took the shower the pipe was blocked and the water started to leak to the bathroom… yes they sorted the problem quite quickly but still was not great experience There were no slippers and bathrobes. I asked for x3 slippers and they brought only one pair. I asked again and they brought only one pair again. On the third time they brought two pairs…. When I asked for 3!!! And still no bathrobes. We asked for additional blanket and it was in a random location after the room was cleaned. The room was cleaned badly on the next day we stayed. My pajamas was thrown elsewhere and I found it on the table, the towels we put on the floor to be replaced were fold dirty on the shelves… the blanket was in a random location and the cleaner did not pay any attention at all left the room dirty. Very disrespectful I felt that I had to beg for the things we are supposed to get in this kind of hotels. Shocking!!! Yes they compensated with a complimentary breakfast which was good but still the service was bad. They sent the cleaner and by the time she came we were already sleeping. And she did not speak any English … very disappointed Room 210, 26.10-28.10 2024

Returned guest. High class hotel but toiletries are not as good as before. All Edinburg hotels charge are way more expensive than before pandemic.
