Hummingbird Inn

We had the quirky tower room at the top. Great for us but watch your head if you’re tall. Lovely garden, a wraparound veranda, and the fabulous breakfasts were all wonderful surprises. All due to Innkeeper Eric - he went above and beyond for us

Made the call 2 days before we wanted a room, and luckily, there was one available. We arrived and met, the effervescent and delightful, Mary. She checked us in and even made reservations at a wonderful restaurant for dinner. The room was beautifully appointed and welcoming. On the bed were two big, fluffy bathrobes. I immediately stripped and put one on. Then, much to my poor wife's dismay, began prancing (if you knew me, you would realize that that is not a good look) around the room, trying to look regal. Anyway, I decided to take a shower. I cannot say enough about the shower. From the first second that I entered the water, I was hooked. Best Shower Ever. I stood there in rapture. I do not know whether the other rooms have the same type shower ( I didn't think it proper to go to the other guests and ask to test their showers), but if they do, you are in for a treat. We were in the Cambridge Room. After a long and luxurious shower, we dressed and went to dinner. Mary's restaurant suggestion was spot on. We leisurely walked back to the Inn and sat on the porch for a few minutes. After a short time, one of the other guests came out holding a bottle of bourbon and a glass. I asked him where was my glass, and he went back in and got one. Yikes!! We must be in the South. So, I sat with this gentleman and sipped bourbon. Then another couple came back from dinner and they joined us. Eventually, my wife and bourbon guy's wife piled on. We had an interesting and relaxed conversation; that only complete strangers can have. We were out on the porch for at least an hour (have no idea how long we were there), and then beddy bye. Slept. Woke (always a welcome surprise) and made a bee line to the shower. Ahhhhh! Then down to breakfast. Scrumptious. Eric, the owner and chef, is a master. Stuffed and sated, we checked out, hung around for a little while, talked to Mary then hit the bricks. I highly recommend The Hummingbird Inn. It was a wonderful experience. Maybe we'll see you there. Bring bourbon.

A delightful visit. The Inn was beautifully decorated and the staff was warm and welcoming. We stayed in the Oxford Room and it was clean and comfortable. Our breakfast prepared by owner and chef Eric was delicious. The quiche was some of the best I've ever had. It is an easy walk to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

There aren't many places as memorable as the Hummingbird Inn. From the moment y you walk through the front door, you feel and are treated as a guest and friend in this gorgeous home. So much attention to detail, from the local artwork on the walls, the sitting room with books and games, and the coffee and tea station, there is so much to rave about. The room we stayed in was so modern, comfortable and spacious that we spent more time than we had planned to there. The best part was the exquisite breakfast that Eric, the owner, prepared in the morning. The delicious gourmet food was served with great care, and was one of the best breakfasts I've had. I highly recommend the Hummingbird Inn for a stay in Easton.

We went to the Hummingbird Inn to get engaged and were so lucky to have them as a part of our wedding story of getting engaged under the willow tree in the garden. Not only did they make us feel so at home, but we were so pampered. The breakfast in the morning made by Chef Eric was absolutely delicious! The Concord room was not only stunning but also so comfy and were able to make ourselves at home for a few days. Thank you, Mary and Eric, for the wonderful customer service and love! We can't wait to come back!! Recommend: Take advantage of the breakfast/ coffee, the garden area and the wrap around porch.

Impressive Victorian B&B, warm welcome from the owner, Eric, and his entire staff. Very tastefully decorated interior with sitting room downstairs and additional sitting areas on each floor. It is evident that Eric and his staff genuinely care about the Inn and the comfort of his guests. The rooms were immaculate, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the personal touches, the ambiance of the Inn, the beautiful grounds and the deliciously impressive breakfasts. This is hospitality at its best and I truly recommend the Hummingbird Inn for a very memorable stay. Thank you so much Eric - we'll definitely be back again.

Wonderful experience. Great location, excellent room and decor. Friendly staff. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Morning coffee and scones were delicious. Looking forward to visit this bed and breakfast in the future. Enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Hummingbird Inn again recently, and were reminded what a wonderful experience Eric and his team provide to their guests. The rooms are all unique, very comfortable and gorgeous, and the common areas of the Inn are all welcoming and well appointed. Eric’s breakfasts are always amazing, and nothing beats a cup of coffee in the morning or a nightcap on the ample front Porch. We plan to return to the Hummingbird Inn again and again, to enjoy Easton and the Avalon Thestre!

The rooms are well appointed. The location is great, a short walk to theaters and several great restaurants in the quaint town of Easton. Eric, the host, is awesome...he is attentive, but not over bearing...nice to talk to, but doesn't talk too much. He is great for making suggestions for things to do, restaurants, etc. He prepared a delicious breakfast that suited our diets and preferences perfectly. The house is amazing. Well cared for, well appointed. There is a large tree-shaded garden in the back for relaxing, there is a large covered front porch, sitting rooms inside. The beds and baths are very comfortable. There is a free electric car charger hookup in the driveway. We had a really nice time.
