Travelodge Eastbourne Willingdon Drove

Awful place. Tired, dirty in need of investment. Reception staff on arrival unwelcoming, more interested on being on his mobile phone

I recently visited and was greeted with a friendly welcome from a lovely lady on reception called jess. I explained that i was disabled and she asked if i had any additional needs. She kindly offered to help me to my room with my bag. She is a real credit to the team and helped make my stay more enjoyable just by being polite and friendly. The reception area and hallway was nice and tidy, and the room was very clean and smelled fresh. There was tea and coffee in the room which was well needed after my drive. There were also some in the reception area for guests which i thought was a great idea. The bed was very comfortable and the location was nice and quiet, which meant i had a very good sleep. I woke up well rested and when i checked out i was asked if everything was ok with my visit. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The hotel was clean but tatty ie is just ok The entrance is very tired and requires a repaint. There are weeds everywhere outside - it will help a lot if the area is tidied it looks like no one care much and travel lodge are just doing the minimum . Not a good advert for the chain
