We recently faced a distressing situation where we had to cancel our overseas trip and make emergency arrangements to return home immediately following a death in the family. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the hotel failed to acknowledge my numerous emails let alone provide any refund or credit. This lack of compassion or even acknowledgement was disheartening and unprofessional. I expected better customer service, especially considering the nature of my request. I would advise others to consider hotels that prioritise empathy and understanding in their policies, particularly in sensitive situations like this.

The new hotel looks very nice from the outside and is close to the beach; you must just cross a dirt road. Parking is also possible along this road. Reception at the hotel was friendly. We were not happy with the very dark room on the ground floor of one of the houses which was given to us for our two-days’ stay. The only view you had were a few bushes right outside the room where there was a little terrace. This was a room with a so-called “garden view”. As nobody was there at check-in who had the authority to change our room we stayed in it in the end not wanting to waste time till somebody of authority turns up. Apart from being very dark the room was large and included a kitchen. There were a lot of electrical outlets which are often insufficient in hotel rooms. The small TV was not mounted on the wall and its position was uncomfortably low if you watched from the bed. The Wi-Fi worked without problems. The bathroom was very small for a 4-star hotel. While the size of the shower was OK the washbasin was really tiny. Breakfast at the hotel was very good but there was no buffet. You had to order from a list which offered a large variety of food. The breakfast terrace was nice as it provided a view of the sea. The young lady serving us was very friendly. If you compare the Margo Beach with other 4-star hotels in the area the price-performance ratio is not very good especially as the hotel does not offer an outdoor pool.

It is a new hotel at the area, location is perfect and the staff is amazingly welcoming and smiling. Very expensive for the area, similar 4 star accommodation were 30% cheaper and with a pool which is a plus for many. Breakfast is poor, in quality and options, they should definitely enhance the buffet. Timings of restaurant and beach service were confusing, everyday there was a different schedule, maybe due to less staff? Sewage smell all over bathrooms and at the area of the restaurant at times. Room is spacious and very clean. Once again: Staff was amazing, bravo 👏

We are from Canada and I took my 22 year old son. This is a beautiful hotel on the beach. Friendly staff with great service. We stayed early in the season (early May) so it was very quiet (which I loved). They have a buffet breakfast - it could have used a few more items like cheese or spinach pie, however there was plenty of food and coffee. There is no large communal pool, just a few small private ones for certain rooms. The area is a local Greek vacation spot so we loved it!

We stayed four nights at this hotel. The hotel is new, the rooms are well equipped and ideal for families. The facilities were clean . The breakfast was very good with a good variety. The best part of this hotel is that the beach is literally a step from the hotel. The beach is very nice and the hotel offers sunbeds and even beach towels. The hotel offers an on-site restaurant and bar. The hotel is a five minutes drive to the city of Gytheio. Definitely the best choice in the area.
