Premier Hotel East London ICC

酒店不錯，乾淨衞生，前台服務態度比較好，海景套房是真的很大很大很大，所以如果是自己出去玩，建議線下預訂。

The stay of mine was really disappointing. Stayed at the sister Premier Hotel Regent East London reception staff unwilling to assist, No assistance once I arrived as to where the reception is which is at the back of the complex not the front on the first floor. Definitely won’t be back.

Shocking treatment as though I was a criminal ! Security/door man/ staff bombarded and entered my room with their own keys at almost 11pm at night while I was fast asleep. I Woke up in shock to find 2 men in my room staring at me until I asked what the issue was. They eventually stated that I had not paid for that night despite me having arranged with reception earlier that day that I will settle the remaining night the next day noting that I was already a guest the day before and had paid for such upon check In. I explained to these men the situation while In shock and I then called the male reception telephonically from my room. He was certainly adamant that he only just arrived on shift and was following up on guests that didn’t pay. I explained that I had made arrangement earlier in the day and the fact that this was an internal poor communication between the hotel staff, the way to deal with such was completely unacceptable. He was not apologetic nor understanding and I questioned him why nobody had called me during the day including the earlier evening or even locked my room key/card out if this was an issue. There was a better way of just entering my room unannounced at that part of the night knowing that I was a guest the day before as well and my room key was extended earlier in the day with permission. Further my car was on the parking bay so how dare they treat me this way as I would run away or as a thief. I was very angry in the way he spoke To me I’m signing that I needed to pay at that point while deep in sleep. It’s the first time ever despite me travelling abroad too on many occasions too and never receiving such treatment while in the same situation. Upon checkout, I complained to the female duty manager who understood my situation and then called the General Manager who listened and stated he will Investigate the matter and call Me and email Me. A week today and I havnt heard from Mr Ashton I think it was nor the manager! While this hotel is overall clean and tidy no doubt , having such an experience makes a visit to such a hotel scary. I won’t ever stay here again. I wonder if they even disciplined the relevant staff member noting that his behaviour as a front line person of the hotel was unacceptable.

When I arrived in the room it was hot and muggy - so I turned on the aircon that did not cool down. It only heated up and made the room even more humid. The TV ‘worked’ with big white spots visible through the screen. I called reception who sent maintenance. He replaced the aircon with one that at least had a working fan even if it didn’t cool. I couldn’t sleep with the door open since I was on the ground floor with no balcony or security door. The TV I was told was just like that. They couldn’t do anything about it. As for the cleaning service: On day two they took my towels to wash and forgot to return them. On day 3 I had no bathroom mat and on day four they forgot to bring toilet paper. The restaurant food was awful! The green salad on day one was good, but by day 3 the cucumber was slimy, the tomatoes were see through and the lettuce was a dark green mess On day they three lunch they served plain cooked pasta with an overly salty ‘spinach’ sauce that no one ate. So they recycled it, put the pasta and sauce together and sprinkled some cheese over the top and it was then dinner. They serve a cheesecake that has not ever seen cheese - it tastes like a box of powdered milk mixed with water and gelatins masquerading as cheesecake. I will never be back - and that’s a 4 Star hotel?

Don't understand some of the negative reviews. Our room (909) was great, with really, really comfortable beds. Massive room , which was cleaned daily. Breakfast room was very busy at 8am, with good selection of freshly cooked eggs. To us Brits, fish cakes, chicken livers and beef liver would not be seen as breakfast dishes, but the livers were always in an empty dish, so must have been popular! Room service good, and not expensive by UK standards. Always felt secure with security at car park and hotel entrance. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Great location and supposed to be one of the good hotels in Buffalo City, East London. However, the hotel is badly managed with poor maintenance. 

The carpet in the rooms smells, the walk ways are not cleaned properly. First room they gave me had a safe that didn’t work, a broken drawer, a malfunctioning light and a sliding door that was not locking. 

 They moved me to another room and that one had an old shower head that was not working properly and had a really bad smelling carpet. I gave up! The street outside the hotel gets very dirty on weekends with a lot of people washing cars and it feels unsafe in the afternoons. This is Premier Hotel ICC (supposedly 4-star) and NOT their 3-start sister hotel
