Scottish Inns Ronks

Upon check-in, I was handed a key card in a very used envelope. I should’ve realized that was the beginning of my overnight nightmare. After a long day at a wrestling tournament, we wanted to go to bed. When we turned down the sheets, there were dead bugs on the bed so I went to the office to ask for new sheets and the lady at the desk told me I needed to wait until she was finished eating dinner. When she did deliver the sheets, she handed them to me. I went to make the bed and pull the dirty sheets off, and the mattress pad had blood and pee stains all over I then called her in to take a look at that. She said the man that cleans the rooms likes money but not cleaning. She then wanted to show me the room next-door which she assured me she cleaned herself. That bed had dried up food on the sheets. I stayed in our original room. She gave me a new mattress pad and sheets, and we laid beach towels that were in my car down and slept on those on top of the “clean”sheets. The floor also had food crumbs on it. Overall disgusting experience.

The location is the best thing about Scottish Inn. Even though our room fronted US 30, we slept very well. Rooms are small so we removed our shoes whenever we returned to our room. The hotel is owned by a family who lives on premises. Ice machine did not work. The owner said that she called someone and that they are at Lowe's getting the part. Next day the ice machine still did not work. Next morning my husband noticed 3 insect bites (1 on my face and 2 on my neck). They appear to be spider bites. Maid service consisted of making our beds and sweeping the floor. I did get extra towels and a stopper for the tub as I requested. We will not be returning.

The fabric on the bottom of both of the beds is stained horribly. It's beyond gross. It looks like bodily fluids just seed on down and they left it there. Inexcusable and unforgivable.. I mean, that leaves stain fabric for customers who paid good money to have to look at.

The one thing that is a quite obious is they need a trash can in the bathroom

Convenient location with newly updated rooms and friendly staff. This is the cleanest low-cost hotel I think I've ever stayed at. 30 is right there and the road noise is constant and noticeable; bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Room was nice and quiet. Clean and nice staff. The main light for the room was out and did not work.
