The Ravenswood

Our stay was very nice, All the staff were very nice to everyone. The bed was very comfy, didn't want to get out of it, the pillows were so comfy to lay your head on, head sunk into them. A very nice old fashioned hotel to stay at for any venue, we had a very lovely wedding there.

Great venue for a wedding. However rooms were dated, shabby and could not get in until 3pm and not worth the £160 for a tiny room we had to pay for 1 night. Venue setting was good, staff very friendly. Rooms were very hot overnight and if opened windows noise of cars outside was loud

What a wonderful place for our daughter's wedding! Dawn, our coordinator, was amazing, she was everywhere, but nowhere, you just found that everything was exactly as it should be, thanks to her efforts. The staff were all very friendly and enthusiastic, which makes such a difference to the day. The venue itself is amazing, and we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the grounds on the day and have the ceremony outside, as we had hoped. Some reviews have mentioned the rooms, but in all honesty I did not even notice that there was no tv, I just noticed the comfort, the cleanliness and the restfulness of the room. When you are using the room for one night and are only in it for a very short time those attributes are far more important than a tv! Everyone fell in love with the venue and I would recommend it highly to anyone!

What a stunning venue… We going married in December 2024 and I knew from moment we saw this place it was for us 🥰 And was we right .. And wow what a way to celebrate a Christmas wedding. The stunning view even on a rainy damp cold day it’s never an issue here you wouldn’t even worry about that on your day .. the venue is dressed the nines already without the decorations you hire or use The staff are amazing at what they do and was not a thing I needed to worry about Katie was amazing from get go.. Absolutely faultless. My daughter got married here on 7th April. From start to finish it was a well oiled machine. The wedding went without a hitch with Natalie the wedding coordinator at the helm. I could almost believe she ordered the glorious sunshine that made it possible to hold the ceremony outside! Every last member of staff from housekeeping to reception are a credit to this venue. With special shout out to the lovely lady on reception who heated up my two year old granddaughters meal in the evening and found us a nice quiet place to sit. And the lovely happy blonde lady in the breakfast room who ran around getting special orders for us with a smile on her face Overall I could not fault this venue, its glorious gardens and lake were delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and I don’t think you will regret holding your special day here.

We stayed for my daughters wedding.. it was such a beautiful place.. The staff are really friendly.. The wedding coordinator was so professional. The day ran so smoothly everything was just perfect. The grounds are beautiful.. and thankfully the weather was perfect too. 😃😃
