Check in was really uncomfortable. Two agents working and I still had to ring a dumb bell to get someone to check us in due to what sounded like a bunch of women having a grand ol time in their office. We came down to move our 18yr old son to Baton Rouge the 2nd week of June ( 5th-8th) for school. The rooms were dim and tv didn’t work. Bed was comfy and the breakfast staff was very pleasant. We only stayed 2 nights out of the 4 due to our sons apartment being ready to move in. I did have an issue that I reported at check out and spoke to one of the managers about it in the morning after. The first night I was exhausted from traveling and did not feel well at all, so I went to take a nap not long after our arrival. I told my son to order door dash or see what they had to eat downstairs at the hotel restaurant. He is easy, so I didn’t worry. After my nap, I tried calling my son, who was sitting at the bar at what I assumed eating dinner. I came downstairs to meet him and only to find him drunk as can be. He had a margarita and a shot of Hennessy in a shot glass in front of him that the bartender served my 18 year old son. I heard Louisiana has relaxed liquor laws, but this was unacceptable. His wallet was still in the room, so he couldn’t have shown her any kind of ID if asked ( which he later confirmed the next morning). Now, I am not trying to get that young African American Bartender with the colored hair in trouble because it takes two to tango. It was just as much on him if not more. He made his bed and paid the consequences later when he was throwing up in the middle If the night( 3 Hennessy margaritas?? And 2 additional extra shots of Hennessy, I see why he was throwing up) I can’t wrap my head around the fact that a babyface 18yr old young man, did not even get asked for any type Of identification. I also can’t believe my son would be that careless and use such poor judgment. I surely hope that manager spoke with that young lady bartending as she assured me she would and that they didn’t tolerate that. Supposedly, they couldn’t serve food for some reason because of faulty kitchen equipment and that’s what his reason was for sitting and just drinking alcohol. I still never received the points to my husbands account as promised and it’s coming on 2 months. Manager can never be reached, but to be fair I do work out of the Country mostly and spend a lot of my time for Work on long flights and in small towns throughout Europe where coverage is minimal. I don’t even care about the points anymore as this much time has passed and I have enough already from my business travel, a follow up or
