Hotel Fryderyk

I was very disappointed with the luck of hospitality at this hotel. Not a single smile, not a single welcoming word, ever. We felt like we were a nuisance to the staff. Upon arrival, without a word of welcome, I was given a form to fill out and then the keys were handed over to me. There is no elevator. We were the only guests at the breakfast, upon arrival at our table a plate of cold meats and cheese was put in front of us (without a single word) and then the person disappeared. After about 5 minutes I went to look for someone and they delivered bread, then a few minutes later I had to remind them of coffee, then I had to remind them about juice, then I have to remind them of jam. The internet in our room was not working properly. As I had an important business meeting that evening, I went to the reception to ask about the internet and I was told I could use the internet in the restaurant. The thought of having a business meeting in front of people who would be having dinner at the same time was new to me. I had to reschedule the meeting. Our second breakfast was a bit better (a buffet, I guess the previous night we were the only guests). I told the grumpy waiter that we would like more fruit and he brought an unpeeled apples and an unpeeled orange... At the departure the person at the front desk took the key and said "ok" without looking at me. The staff was always smoking in front of the hotel without doing any work. They seem to be so deadly bored it it was really painful to watch them (our window was facing the smoking area). Our second window was facing the neighboring building where a lady would always sit and look into our room. Annoying. This hotel is at this point a total failure. It is horribly overpriced for the service they offer.

Hotel jest w zabytkowym budynku w ładnej okolicy. Jest spokój. Dobre śniadania, fajne zabiegi. Jednak wyposażenie jest bardzo zniszczone, porwane dywany na schodach, brudne ściany i tapety. Od lat prosi się choćby o elementarny remont.
