Driving home after a lovely two night stay at the Black Bull Inn. Recently refurbished room was spotlessly clean, comfortable large bed with good quality bed linen and fluffy towels. Good food in restaurant for dinner and breakfast with great, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the area

Fantastic experience staying at the Black Bull. We were in Borders to attend a concert, and enjoyed our meals and hospitaliyy. Jamie Robson, Jasmine and the team did a great job in making our stay enjoyable with great customer service from arrival to departure. The meals were excellent , hearty and tasty with good value for money. I particulatly enjoyed the bangers and mash ! The bar and restaurant are excellent,well laid out and cosy. The rooms are tremendous and we had the most powerful shower in a hotel in years! Fabulous stay and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful rooms beds were very comfortable. Roll top bath and shower Great nights sleep Spotlessly clean with tea & coffee facilities . Very friendly great value and a delicious homemade Sunday roast and breakfast 5⭐️ definitely recommend .

Great hotel - if you’re in Duns stay there! Great newly renovated room, welcoming owner and staff. Had a few pints and dinner there - also great. Bar had good atmosphere and a roaring fire. On a long 12 day walk across England and Scotland. Best place I’ve stayed.

Excellent place for a meal. Stayed in Boston House around the corner and given recommendations for The Black Bull Hotel for somewhere to eat before my husband and I went out for the evening to a wedding at Wedderburn Castle. Lovely, friendly staff. Advised to book a table. Clearly, it is very popular as lots of reservations on nearby tables. We were eating quite early at 5, and it was lovely and peaceful before starting to fill up. Great service, attentive and prompt with orders, drinks, and food. We loved our meals. Husband ordered fish and chips, and I had the chicken and leek pie. 😋 It was very tasty, and we'd love to come back next time we're in the area so we can try the desserts! Thank you 😊

Wow. Incredibly comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room. Had a great stay and slept like a baby. Way nicer than the price/night would suggest. Whole place just been totally refurbished by new owners. Bar and restaurant also great. Perfect place to escape to for a day or two. Try it!

Great local hotel. The Saturday evening meal was well prepared and tasty. The service was timely and friendly. The hotel was busy but not packed. All-in-all, we had an enjoyable evening out with a good meal and excellent service. I would recommend the Black Bull in Duns to anyone.

Super comfy bed and pillows, great shower (plenty of water), warm cosy room (cold December day). Paul the manager was fantastic- looked after us really well and v helpful. Whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Great breakfast too.

I could not recommend the Black Bull in Duns more highly. The pub has been recently renovated and the attention to detail was second to none. The rooms were incredibly clean and the beds were seriously comfy. I had two of the best nights sleep in months!! The breakfast was top notch as well. I will be looking at any excuse to come back and I highly recommend anybody to visit - you will not be disappointed!!
