Cairndale Hotel & Spa

My daughter and I had a fabulous trip to The Cairndale Spa on Sunday for our birthdays. We were welcomed with a lovely hot cloth and a cold smoothie! Then to the lovely changing rooms with super fluffy green robes and slippers to use, presented in a cute bag. The changing rooms had hairdryers and GHD straighteners. The spa itself is superb, beautiful swimming pool with various jacuzzi bubbles and water jets. A nice jacuzzi pool and several sauna and steam rooms - we had a wee shot in all of them but didn’t go so far as to use the ice bath! In between you can relax on the funky loungers. We had a lovely glass of Prosecco while chilling in the egg chairs by the pool. There are also relaxing water beds which was certainly a first for me! So comfy. After spending nearly 4 hours relaxing we showered, changed and went upstairs again for a lovely 2 course lunch. The staff were all very attentive and we were made to feel special. We even got birthday cards. All in all a super experience and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful - thoroughly recommend this experience.

Fantastic stay, staff are lovely right through the hotel from reception to catering to the spa. Food was lovely and spa treatments could not be recommended enough. Only downfall during the stay was the interruptions during dinner from Scottish Power works coming in and out being very noisy and rude, staff was very apologetic about the situation.

I visited the spa having been gifted a day spa experience. It was first class! The facilities are excellent, and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. On arrival, you receive a tote bag with robe, slippers and towel. The bag is useful for carrying around book/phone etc throughout the day. The robe and slippers were high quality and fabulously soft, and the slippers are free to take home. A warm face/hand towel and a delicious smoothie were the next treat. I had two treatments with Anita, a facial and a whole body massage. Both were very relaxing. The treatment rooms are very well appointed. I used the steam rooms, sauna, jacuzzi and pool, as well as the warm relaxation rooms. The choice of temperatures and scents in the steam and sauna facilities meant there was an option to suit everyone. I’ve been in spas in 5* hotels which did not measure up to this standard. I would highly recommend.
