Mountain Villas

These villas are amazing!! Very spacious, clean, comfortable beds, great views, perfect amenities, and great location!! We loved the nearby hiking trails and Duluth is just minutes away!! We ended each day with a fire at one of their many fire pits. We will definitely will be booking again!!

Rented cabin #14 at Mountain Villas. I've never stayed here before, so didn't know what to expect. All villas are built on one middle support beam, with side (many are adjustable) poles / wooden legs in place. It took some time to learn to trust these side poles as the villa tilted a lot in the kitchen and living room areas. After figuring out that was "normal" we unpacked - very sparse, small kitchen, VERY dusty, but well maintained overall. Nice that they provided bath soap, coffee and dog treats! (This was one cabin that allowed dogs:) We also REALLY appreciated the deck where we could sit around a table outdoors. Many villas had very small decks that wouldn't even hold a table, so check this out in advance if it's important to you to enjoy the outdoors while there. On the downside, the plastic chairs on the deck were Extremely uncomfortable! I know they purchased them cheaply so no one walked away with them or in case they broke it wouldn't be too expensive to replace them, but damn...very sore butts indeed. But, like I said, at least we had a deck to enjoy. Good central place for the southern / eastern parts of SHT. Much more affordable than other places we found in Duluth - nice to be in the woods, although you hear a road near the place, it wasn't too bad.
