Hillside Havens

We visited Hillside Havens for my daughters 21st celebrations. It was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Tracy and Andrew. Easy to find, a well organised site with 360° fantastic views. The pods were toastie with underfloor heating and a lovely ensuite, had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tubs were amazing, so relaxing, slept like a log both nights. Six of us went and we each had a pod and hot tub of our own but we decorated our daughters for the day of her birthday and spent time together there. Plenty of room outside for all of us. We didn't need to spend much time indoors as the weather was absolutely perfect, sun shone during the day and evenings the stars were out and the breeze was minimal. Couldn't have wished for a better break. Highly recommended and thank you to Tracy and Andrew we will be back !!

When we arrived, Tracy was there to meet us. She had already started the fire for the hot tub, so saved us doing it. The pod was warm and had everything we needed for a short stay. We would definitely go back at a later date. Great place. Tracy was there to help if we needed anything

We have asked our owners to write a review for us! We are Willow and Lottie ( girl dogs). We loved our trip to Hillside Haven and Dufftown so much. The best bits were our own garden for playing safely and tinkling ( we did poo and our Mummy and Maddy picked them up). There is a bit behind through a secret gate which had extra sniffs but Willow stood in poo because it’s so dark at night and Maddy was star gazing, nobody noticed until it got trampled inside. Easily cleaned but not nice! There were loads of local walks and that helped us all relax. Tasty food on the BBQ and lots of whisky sampled, not by us, we stuck to the lovely Scottish water. The hoomans loved the hot tub and we got to stay out and watch them get steaming or could pop into the pod for a snooze. Best holiday ever and we think we might ask to go back again soon.

We went here for a belated honeymoon after getting married in November. Well, what can I say about this place? OUTSTANDING!!!!! The communication between the owners Tracy and Andrew before our trip was 1st class. The weather was really bad with snow but we still made the journey and they kept us updated right up until our departure to advise us of road conditions and which road to take that would be safer for us. When we arrived they were there to help us park our car safely as the snow was really deep. We got to our pod and the woodfired hot tub was already warming for us and the underfloor heating was on which meant the pod was nice and toastie which we were so grateful for. We couldn't get our car out the next day due to the snow but Tracy offered to get us some supplies if we needed them but we opted for a walk in the snow to the village of Dufftown to which we're glad we did. We were met with friendly people wherever we went. We ended up having to stay an extra night and nothing was too much trouble for Tracy and Andrew and they could not have done enough for us. The Hot tub was amazing and the pod was so comfortable, warm and spotless. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to stay for a week in the summer, only this time with our kids and our wee dog,rather than go abroad as planned. We honestly can't thank Tracy and Andrew enough for their hospitality and kindness and they are a credit to the community. So if you're thinking of going to stay here, then all I can say is DO IT, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a visit to Dufftown and found the accommodation to be excellent! The pod was immaculately clean and very cosy. The location is brilliant with great views over the countryside. The hot tub was a great touch too. We will definitely be back

Very peaceful location. The accommodation was excellent and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Very clean and everything you would need for cooking. Lovely fire pit and the outdoor area was very spacious with lovely views. Would definitely stay again
