Hotel D-Elegant

This is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area. There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers. Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.

El hotel es relativamente nuevo y la habitación es limpia y grande. La recepción ya no es una mesa con un ordenador, ni siquiera está escrito en ella. La ubicación es relativamente buena ya que la estación de autobuses está a poca distancia. Las playas y los restaurantes están a poca distancia. Wifi no funcionó durante 2 días. Personal amable pero no todos hablan inglés. El desayuno era bastante minimalista. El "jugo de naranja" no es recomendable. Suficientes plazas de aparcamiento disponibles.

A pesar del edificio bastante reciente, las instalaciones no se mantienen en absoluto. Por lo tanto, no refleja en absoluto lo que vimos en el sitio. Las paredes de nuestra habitación estaban llenas de marcas. El baño, a ras de techo, sufrió daños por agua, en cuanto a la ducha, hubo un gran problema de drenaje, lo que hizo que la mitad del tiempo pensáramos que estábamos en una piscina infantil. Edificio absolutamente no insonorizado, ya que oíamos coches y otras personas pasando o hablando como si estuvieran a nuestro lado. Sin embargo, este hotel todavía está bien calificado. Por lo que la relación calidad-precio no es del todo correcta.

Después de una confusión con las reservas a través de Booking (que fue notablemente culpa mía). Uno de los miembros del personal nos promete que aún quedan habitaciones disponibles y que para reservar hay que acudir al hotel. Eso es lo que hicimos. Simplemente tenemos la sensación de que nos intentaban vender una habitación barata (ofreciéndonos el mismo precio que en Booking, es decir, 140€ por noche). El equipamiento de la habitación estaba dañado (ver fotos) y realmente no estaba a la altura del precio... Algunos miembros del equipo intentaron hacer todo lo posible para llegar a un acuerdo con el precio. Desafortunadamente, ¡no lo recomendamos en absoluto!

All was very good! Friendly staff, lots of things to do nearby. The nature here is more beautiful than in any other part of the city (expect maybe only Lokrum island). The food was very tasty, large variety of food options. Hotel and the area was tip-top clean and maintained, services were perfect too, the laundry was changed every 3 days, good room equipment. The room was big enough

We stayed at the D-Elegant Hotel Dubrovnik whilst visiting from the UK in September, and what a fantastic stay we had! The rooms were clean and very well thought out, and we had views of the beautiful mountains above Dubrovnik. The wellness and massage facilities were also fantastic, and really helped us overcome the stress of traveling, and the staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful. We’ll be back here next time we visit Dubrovnik for sure!

Hotel Review: D Elegant Dubrovnik We recently stayed at D ELegant Dubrovnik, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The room we were given was at the back of the hotel, overlooking a car park with no sun, which was quite disappointing. The overall décor felt tired and in need of an update, and the towels provided were threadbare, while the bedding was of poor quality, making for an uncomfortable stay. The reception area was minimal, more like a desk plopped at the entrance, which didn’t give a welcoming feel. The staff were polite but nothing exceptional, although the breakfast team stood out for their friendliness. The breakfast itself was limited in variety. Another issue was the lack of basic toiletries—we were only given supermarket soap, and no other items unless specifically requested, which felt quite inconvenient. There is no outdoor seating or any real amenities, making it feel more like a basic business hotel or even a hostel. The only plus was the decent bus access, but for a couple of hundred euros more, you could stay on the promenade and enjoy a better experience. Overall, D Elegant Dubrovnik was underwhelming, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for comfort or luxury during your stay in Dubrovnik.
