Savannah Cabins at Taronga Zoo

The Savannah Cabins were clean, well equipped and so close to the animals. The kids had a great time in the playground. We had views of quite a few animals late in the afternoon and early morning. We were only there for one night and it was plenty for us with access to the park both days of your stay. I’m so glad we stayed at the zoo and not in town.

Clean, roomy cabins. Has all the amenities needed for a weekend stay. The cabins are spaced far enough apart for privacy. They face the fence to the Savannah area of the zoo so you can see some animals from your verandah or it's an easy walk to the fence for a closer view. Great for families as it has a playground for kids! Beds are a bit soft however that is a personal thing.

It was a modern and cosy experience with soft beds, an adequate kitchen and two clean bathrooms. Our only negatives were the dishwasher didn’t work properly and the fridge had a broken shelf. You really felt like you were in the Savanah with the long yellow grass except from the fact that there were not any animals other than some distant giraffes in an enclosure.

We booked the package that included the accommodation and zoo entry. We loved both experiences. The zoo was a lot of fun! We hired an electric cart and had a lot of fun riding around to see the animals in that. The Savannah cabins were amazing. We loved the layout of the cabin, the fact that there were two bathrooms and even a bath, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked so we were able to cook our own dinner. The kids loved the playground outside and the kangaroos hopping around. You could also walk over to the safari area to see all the animals. If you're planning on visiting, you need a car to get from the zoo to the cabins but it's just a short drive up the road.

Savannah Cabins were spacious, clean and warm! A great layout for families.We loved the snacks provided in the fridge. The kangaroos jumping through the grounds was a bonus! it was great to be sop close to the Zoo to be able to do the early walks easily.

Stayed 2 nights in Savannah Cabins within Taronga Western Plain Zoo compound. The cabin we stayed had 2 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and all basic amenities. In the evening, Kangaroos would roam near the cabins and also you can see Giraffes / Zebra faraway in Savannah lands. Cabins to Zoo main gate in few mins drive.
