Villa Sorgenfrei is really not primarily a hotel. It's a restaurant - the Atelier Sanssouci - which I have reviewed with top notch points separately. This is the kind of place where the food is in focus: the restaurant is the main attraction and the possibility to enjoy an evening of finest food and wine. And then turn in in an attached room... So, the hotel rooms and standard are high and quite sufficient for anyone wanting to enjoy the table of the Atelier. I would rate the hotel/room standard as something four-starish. The environment on the whole is lovely. Beautiful, rustique, intimate. Lovely staff - very correct and kind. Highly recommended - but do base your decision on the fact that you want to enjoy really, really fine dining at Atelier Sanssouci. If you at dinner then had a glass of wine or two, you can't drive back to Dresden. You simply have to stay overnight at Sorgenfrei. And in the morning have a lovely breakfast served at your table - with all you could possibly want when you rise. You will not be disappointed. Great experience!

Prachtige plek! Kamer was ruim en mooi ingericht. Het was best warm, maar er stond een goede ventilator. Ontbijt was uitgebreid en heel goed. Met mooi weer kan je buiten eten. In de middag kan je hier wat drinken. 'S avonds is het een chique restaurant, hier hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt. Er is achter het gebouw nog een tuin, valt niet gelijk op, maar is een fijne plek om te zitten. Het personeel was super vriendelijk. Onze peuter werd met open armen ontvangen. Niet iedereen spreekt goed Engels, maar ze doen wel hun best. Zou dit verblijf zeker aanraden.

Zalig hotel in prachtig kader met supetvriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en aan tafel bediend. De naam van het hotel is zeer goed gekozen. Geen enkele moeite is teveel. Als enige opmerking: de badkamer van kamer 2 is echt piepklein.

Lage: mit dem Auto ca 15 min in die Stadt, kostenfreie Parkplätze am Hotel, ruhig gelegen, keinerlei Lärm Zimmer: wunderschön, super sauber, geschmackvoll, sehr hochwertig, individuell gestaltet mit Liebe zum Detail Service: höflich, zuvorkommend, freundlich, natürlich–nicht aufgesetzt, aufmerksam Speisen und Getränke: wir waren zum 2. Mal hier und es war wieder einfach nur phantastisch! 5–10 Gänge mit Weinbegleitung, unfassbar lecker aber nicht überkandidelt und trotzdem ganz besonders. Das Frühstück morgens ohne Buffet mit viel Liebe gestaltet und leckeren Speisen und Getränken Das Ganze Gelände, der schön gestaltete Garten, die einzelnen Gebäude, das Herrenhaus, das Restaurant in seinem besonderen Stil – ein absolutes Kleinod, das Genuss für alle Sinne bietet!

Nach 20 Jahren habe ich erneut den Weg zur Villa Sorgenfrei gefunden. Diesmal haben wir uns für mehrere Tage ein individuelles Arrangement zusammenstellen lassen und wir waren so begeistert, daß wir die Villa Sorgenfrei gerne weiter empfehlen. Das Urteil des Restauranttesters vom Guide Michelin zum Highlight vom Dezember 2022 fasst es gut zusammen: "Fazit: Das Atelier Sanssouci ist eines unserer Häuser, für die es den Guide MICHELIN gibt: Freunde guten Essens sollten ganz bewusst hierher geführt werden!" Die Zimmer sind inzwischen sogar mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet und das Bad wurde behutsam modernisiert. Im wundervollen gepflegten kleinen Park laden im Sommer Liegen zur Entspannung ein. Bei unserer Ankunft konnten wir nach einem Begrüßungsdrink auch gleich die leckeren selbstgebackenen Kuchen im Garten vor dem Restaurant geniessen. Wir hatten gutes Wetter und konnten so jeden Morgen unser individuell zusammengestelltes Frühstück im wunderschönen Garten geniessen. Auch ein ausgezeichnetes 4-Gänge Menü an einem Abend im Gourmet Restaurant Atelier Sanssouci war dabei. Für unsere hochwertigen E-Bikes gab es einen sicheren Unterstellplatz mit Lademöglichkeit über Nacht und für eine Tagstour einen gut gefüllten Picknick-Rucksack und eine Radwanderkarte. Bereits beim Buchungsvorgang und von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise waren wir ausnahmslos sehr zufrieden mit den aufmerksamen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiten im Hotel und Restaurant. Besonderer Dank an unsere Gastgeberin Antje Kirsch für Ihre freundliche Hilfe und Tipps für Ausflüge und gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Villa Sorgenfrei war ohne Auto für uns gut erreichbar und unsere Radtouren führten uns über den Elbe-Radweg nach Dresden, Meissen oder Bad Schandau sowie nach Moritzburg. Die Strassenbahnlinie 4 nach Dresden ist ca 10 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
