Lovely hotel. The service was exceptional, I can't praise the staff enough. The room was cosy and had nice views to the seafront. The breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice (no veggie option but it was still possible to order only the non-meat options like eggs and mushrooms). I would definitely recommend this hotel

Stayed at hotel for 5 nights this September. We had a 4th floor room overlooking the rooftops and with sea view. Room was immaculate , as was the en suite. Lift a little bit quirky, but got used to it. Breakfasts of a high standard with piping hot main corses including local bacon and sausages. We dined at the hotel every night and the quality of the food was very good with the roast beef dinner on a Sunday night the highlight. Very comfortable bar with a Happy Hour several nights and good selection of local beer, and gins. Staff very welcoming and catered for all needs. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, which justifies more than its 3 Star Grading.

A lovely hotel, very clean, very quiet and very central. What gives it superstar status is the breakfasts. .Locally sourced ingredients as far as possible, tasty and a willingness to go off menu with requests. Even the coffee is good. Great value for money

Everything about our stay was excellent, the staff were always friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and warm. The breakfasts and evening meals well presented and prepared. Near the promenade and bus stop 5 making it easy to use the buses and horse tram which run frequently along the front.

Booked online rather than direct. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival. Booked a suite which was very clean and incredibly comfortable with a seaview. The bar is very welcoming and even has a happy hour. Breakfast was very tasty with the service so friendly. Parking was on street but we always found a space within a short walk. We had a lovely stay and would stay again without hesitation.

We visited the Isle of Man in July and it's lovely. The new ferry Manxman is comfortable and has loads of facilities and the Island itself has lots of things to offer by way of walks and glens with heritage sites and I believe the oldest running electric tramway in the world. We've been many times and have always found something new to explore. Oh, and the hotel's not bad either!

A really handsome hotel with excellent friendly staff who made us feel very welcome , nothing was too much trouble. All our meals were well cooked ,with tasty and generous portions and all very well presented. The local kippers and creamy porage at breakfast were delicious Highly recommended if you are visiting the lovely Isle of Man .

We returned from our annual visit to the Welbeck on 26th July. What can I say? It was just lovely. The staff and owners are so lovely and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them. There has been some changes to the menu since I was there last, it is a little more casual now and I have to say, it's fabulous. The baked potato with home made chilli and Manx cheese is mouth watering. At our first breakfast, I bemoaned to myself the fact that the tea cups had a tiny handle. I have arthritis and found them difficult to pick up. Lo and behold, the next day, new tea cups appeared with nice big handles. It appears that on top of all the skills the staff already have, they have added psychic abilities, Lol! We were in an apartment and it was really comfortable and spotless. Complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits were continually replenished during our break. I have nothing bad to say about this family run hotel, it is just fabulous.

Stayed 8th till 12th July for Southern100. I have stayed here before some 7 or 8 years ago and it was excellent then and was no different this time Good points First class staff all ways ready to help Rooms warm and clean Large bar area Hot water on demand in the bathroom TV, safe, fridge, iron, hair dryer tea and coffee making stuff Central location and only 100 yards from beach Bad points None The Welbeck serves Breakfast and evening meals I can’t give an opinion on these as we never ate in .Neither me nor my mate eat breakfast early and was never back in time for evening meal after watching the racing ,also never turned on the TV was always out I said in my last review all those years ago I rated this hotel the best in the Isle of Man and that still counts. Would I go back yes would I recommend to others yes?
