I went with a friend on a GB TOURS coach trip for a long weekend Friday to Tuesday. The Rutland was really really good. The room was spotless and was serviced every day (you could opt out of the servicing if you wished to). The restaurant was pretty, a good size, with beautifully laid tables. The food was great - plenty of choice, well-cooked and piping hot. There was, in addition to other choices, a different carvery joint each evening. The waiting staff were very efficient, very polite and friendly and full of smiles and helpfulness. Indeed all the hotel staff were friendly and efficient, absolutely can't fault them. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend the Rutland Hotel.

Could not fault the hotel at all. Staff were so professional and friendly. Rooms, hallways and communal areas were spotless. The meals, both breakfast and evening meals were of a very high standard and the staff very particular and efficient. Would definitely recommend

Visited for 4 days recently on a coach trip organised by Miles Morgan Travel. Can't fault any aspect of our stay at the Rutland Hotel. Staff were always helpful, and happy to chat about our days out. Beds were comfortable, and rooms spotlessly clean. My main concern was the food, as I have to be Gluten-Free. I contacted them in advance, and they assured me that there would be GF alternatives. I didn't need to be concerned at all, as the Menu included at least one GF option on each meal - although I did have to ask the Chef as they were not marked as such on the Menu. The Staff serving behind the counter were very knowledgable regarding my requirements, and I found out later that a senior member of staff is a Coeliac too, so felt very confident eating there.

The hotel was excellent. The room was spacious and nicely decorated and very clean. Food was excellent and staff were friendly professional and went the extra mile if you asked them for anything. I would definitely stay again if I come back to the island. We were on a coach trip with GB tours and the coach driver was great and the trips we had on the trip were great.

We came with GBTours for a 5 day break and, from the very beginning, we were most impressed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, always with a smile. The hotel had just opened for the new season and it felt very bright and welcoming with fresh roses in the foyer and reception. Our room did not have a sea view but it was large and airy, very clean and tidy and extremely comfortable. The food for both breakfast and dinner was hot, plentiful with a very good choice. I asked for poached eggs most mornings and they were perfect. In fact, all the food was delicious. We enjoyed entertainment on a couple of nights with a few glasses of nice and reasonably priced wine. The glorious sunshine was the icing on the cake! Many thanks, we will definitely be returning.

Lovely welcome from Louise, Huge room( no view... however it didn't seem to bother us .. comfortable beds,and spotlessly clean... The staff are amazing friendly very eager to help... The food is lovely plenty to choose from.. We are with GB tours.....we leave tomorrow and I have to say my husband and I would love to stay longer.... Many thanks Julia and ivor..... merseyside.

Coach trip. Lovely hotel, unfortunately didn't get a Seaview room but the bedrooms are a good size. Lovely to walk out of the front door onto the sea front. Pillows not comfortable but bed good. Adequate ventilation in bedroom to keep it cool to sleep. Food, buffet style.

This is a 3star Hotel and that's probably about right. It hosts Coach parties and I wouldn't want to be there as a n individual. We were part of a coach party and it was fine. The food was good and plenty of it. Dining is on long tables so there wasn't much elbow space. The room was clean and a good size. The shower fine. Downside it was very hot and we were woken a 6.30 each morning when the kitchen fans were started. So it was keep the windows shut and be hot or open them and be woken ! Good location for town.

The Rutland hotel is outstanding in its location, comfort, cleanliness, staff helpfulness and the food is superb. We were on a coach trip but regardless we were all treated like royalty. I 100% recommend this hotel and will be visiting again, thank you to everyone who made the holiday so special.
