Woodlands Bed and Breakfast

What a fantastic 2 days we have had staying at Woodlands bnb in Dornoch. From arriving (2hrs early) we were met by Angie, who greeted us like long lost friends. She made us feel like it was our home and was more than happy to facilitate our early arrival. Our room was ready for us and was simply stunning. Spacious, sparkling clean with a lovely en suite. The house had a huge garden which could be used, however we were sightseeing for the 2 days so unfortunately did not get to utilise it. We had breakfast both mornings, cooked to order, fresh, mouthwatering and filling. Nothing was an issue for Angie who gave us her number in case we needed anything whilst we were there, even if it was because we were lost!! I have to say, this made our trip a fantastic memory. Many thanks Angie, your a ⭐️

Impressive accommadation upon arrival. The rooms were homely and clean. Size of the bathrooms were very spacious. Breakfast was lovely ,the host Belinda was very welcoming. A definite recommendation for a stay if visiting this area to view the cathedral and visit cocoa mountain

Really great value for money in a beautiful grand old property.. Comfortable and clean with friendly hosts. Breakfast, is fairly limited choice but is cooked to order and is great. The decor is a little dated, yes, but that’s reflected in the price charged.

We stayed here for one night on our road trip up to Orkney. Two adults and a 13 year old. We were not expecting to have the 13 year old with us, and had to phone on the day to see if she could be accommodated in the two person room we had booked. The owner said that they would make up a third bed in the room, though it would be a tight squeeze. Well it wasn't a tight squeeze, the room, even with three beds in, was the most spacious room we stayed in on our road trip, and had a huge bathroom, beautiful circular bay window, and a three person couch as well. The beds were the most comfy we slept in on our trip, from the mattresses, to the duvets, to the pillows (I even took a photo of the label on the pillow to try to buy the same for home!). The location of the place is fantastic. Dornoch is a beautiful village, and the stunning beach is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. A perfectly stunning beach. Breakfast was wonderful, home cooked and tasty. The owners were friendly, hospitable and helpful without being intrusive. The whole B&B was quaint without being out dated, and my only regret is that we couldn't stay more than one night.

3 retired golfers. We checked in at 1 PM, and we’re greeted by Bell, the charming lady of the house. We were shown our rooms, which were perfect for us, and had very good showers. We slept well, and we’re given an amazing breakfast - cereals, juice, coffee or tea, juice, and a huge full English breakfast. Bell went out of her way to print the boarding pass for my flight. All in all, a first class stay.

I stayed here recently with my grandchildren. Amazing breakfasts. Everything homemade inc rosti with cooked breakfast. Homemade cake on arrival and beautiful room and ensuite. Sea views. What more can u ask for. Highly recommended.
