Hotel Port Doksy

We stayed in the hotel during our two-day business trip in October 2024. The rooms of adequate size, with nice lake-view and equipped for the business trip needs. Breakfast and dinner was of very nice quality. Location of the hotel at the lake-bank offer option for shorh/longer walks. I can recommned the hotel.

It's a great place. Location, perfect comprehensive facilities, bikes, boats, bowling, chess, swimming pool, ... Great, kind, helpful and accommodating staff, beautiful rooms, excellent food. Peace in the middle of nature. Ideal place.

It is simple perfect hotel for family with children. Our stay is without problems and we can relax independently of wetather or other moods. We are here of peak season, but never mind, is’s still many thinks to do, go around the lake, or stay in hotel pool for example.

Lovely place and mostly lovely staff, however I will not be urinated on and told it's raining. Worst prepared and presented duck I have ever had. When I complained I was made to feel that it was normal to be prepared like that. The potatoes tasted like they had been cooked the day before and reheated too.

I just spent 7 days at Machovo Jezero. While browising hotels I came across Hotel Port and straight away booked my stay. The Rooms (I had a single Room) do not all have lake view; How could they, a building has 4 sides after all. But apperently If you are a single traveler you do not get lake view at all caus all the single bed rooms face the parking lot. This is however a minor detail I can overlook, cause who spends their whole time in the room looking out the window? For a nap, sure and thatÄS where view is not important :) I did have half board which Included breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. Both arrangements where very sattissfactory and plenty things to chhose from. They also arrange a lot of things like, Fridays you can have your dinner buffet on a boat that cruises around the lake; on Tuesday they arranged a BBQ. This hotel is also very Kids friendly. They offer a lot of activities (bike rental, boat rental, badminton, (table) Tennis, bowling, etc. A indoor and outdoor Pool as well as a private acces to the lake (sandy beach) is available for the hotel guests (and a Jacuzzi !!) That Jacuzzi... I discoverd best times for haveing this bubbley wonderland to yourself is around 8 in the morning (everybody is at breakafast) and around 7 in the evening (everybody is at dinner); There you easily can get 2 hours alone in the Jacuzzi. The staff was very friendly and the service was really good. If you are an outdoorsy-walky-person, you can take walks to the nearby places Doksy (about 20 min) or Stare Splavy (also about 20 min) or even further than that :) All in all a recimendation for single travelers, couples and families.
