Super 8 by Wyndham Dodgeville

Very friendly staff, ready to help, great knowledge of facility, :room was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable

Not safe totally filthy bodily fluids through the room wet sticky stains trash furniture I felt so unsafe and triggered. It was clear that this space is utilized for lengthy stays and was not fit for out of town guests.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel in Dodgeville WI. The hotel was clean and cozy. The staff was friendly and made our experience so much more enjoyable.

Was not very clean room was not vacuumed and breakfast was not a breakfast there were no options at all

The chec-in was easy, which was the only good thing about the stay. The blankets looked like old dirty rags and we ended up using travel blankets from the car. The free breakfast was granola bars and coffee. Don't plan on charging phones. There are 2 outlets in the room. One by the bathroom sink. And one across the room that has a cheap power ***** already filled up with the lamps, TV, microwave, and refrigerator. Now the worst parts. I immediately started having what appeared to be an allergic reaction to something in the room. We found part way through the stay that the sink had been leaking for some time, as the wall under it was covered in mold and the drywall so soft that you could push your finger through it. The carpet was wet and moldy several feet around it. Keep in mind that this is out in the room, not in the bathroom. No other rooms were open and there was no other available place to stay in town. We were stuck with a moldy room. The walls in the place are paper thin. You will not sleep here. You can hear every conversation in the place. Our neighbor started blaring the TV at 12:00. You could hear it from the front desk. Nothing was done about it. The second night it got worse. 3 calls to the front desk finally got them to request it be turned down. It started blaring again at 2:00am and the occupants started screaming at each other. The from desk declined to do anything. If you are visiting Dodgeville and the other hotels are booked, avoid this place, just save money and stay in your car for the weekend.

Sad to say, the quality of this hotel has gone down over the years. The carpeting looks tired and worn. The windows are rusty and can barely open. Our room had a strong odor of mildew, cigarette smoke, and air freshener--not the best for people with allergies.

I have stayed at this Super 8 for nearly 20 years now for an annual hunting trip with my Dad and brother. Over the years this hotel has gone down hill and become a very disgusting place to stay. It is apparent that there is no regard to maintaining a clean environment when the bathroom shower head has mold growing on it, the toilets and sinks have black stains, the paint on the walls is full of mismatched paint where, I can only assume, there was previous damage - a new paint job to the entire wall would certainly make it look a bit more presentable. This year I stayed for one weekend early October and my brother came home with bed bugs. They promised to fumigate the room two days prior to our return in November. I think that happened but I can't say for sure. When I came back one night, the adjoining room had a pipe burst that leaked into our room and soaked our luggage. I was not informed of the bursting pipe until I asked and was told there was no damage in my room, which was not true. I found wet towels under the sink and soaked carpet behind the tv cabinet and near the door. When I picked up my luggage bag it was dripping with water. The dumpsters were overflowing, the back parking lot had inoperable cars that were there from last year. It appears that there are permanent occupants living in the back rooms, although I'm not 100% sure. Based on the decline of the hotel and my recent experiences I will not be returning here and will seek other accommodations for future annual trips. I am a Wyndham Rewards member and am very disappointed that this hotel is not being held accountable to the Wyndham hotel standards that I have experienced at other Wyndham hotel chains.

The bed had black stuff all over the white sheets (they clearly were not clean sheets) the TV didn’t work, half of the lamps didn’t work, there was a hair in the sink, and the security door didn’t lock and was duct taped.

Glad we only had to stay one night. Place was filthy. Employees were kind and helpful, but the rooms were really gross. Mold in bathroom, stained sheets, beds uncomfortable. No elevator and breakfast was poor.
