Vincci Helios Beach

I was here.. I enjoyed it very much. This hotel is very beautiful.. Good treatment and cheerfulness in dealing with the guests The hotel animation team was very cooperative with us. I loved it and highly recommend it.Many thanks to everyone who contributed to our happiness.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year’s. We are a family of two adults and two kids. It was our second time visiting Djerba, last time staying at one of the smaller hotels in the same location. This hotel is very big in comparison. Pros The hotel offers a gym which is a highlight for my husband and I and we went everyday. We did find it unfortunate that we had to pay daily for this but it wasn’t a big amount. The animation team is just incredible and work so hard. A special shout out to Bilel who made my kids feel so relaxed and at home. The restaurant staff are so friendly, especially Hadi who really has a special place in our hearts. The service from him was just outstanding. The accommodation was fantastic, we had a villa in the quiet (vip) area and were very cosy. I hate to write any cons about this experience but there are a few. . . Cons The christmas meal did not cater to vegetarians. We made it clear when we booked but were served fish and then a cold pasta as an after thought. For new year, we actually booked to go to the hotel of the previous year as we know they could not accommodate us. In fact, this hotel add meat to absolutely every single dish and some nights it was difficult to even eat from the buffet. It’s a big hotel and many areas show big signs of wear. On top of this, the level of cleaning is not very high (we had to ask frequently for toilet paper or to have the bath cleaned). It was our second time on the Island, the first time we did all activities so didnt see the need to do much. This seemed to irritate the company who organise trips as the representative made comments everytime we walked by. That aside, I think what makes this place so special is the people. There will never be absolutely perfect accommodation and the benefits it offers outweigh the negatives. We will book after for this Christmas - my kids were crying as we left saying it just felt like home. Some must visits include: Djerba Hood, Crocodile park and Flamingo Island. My kids are avid horse riders and they rode every day along the beach with Sezar range who met them at the hotel with the horses. Thanks for this wonderful stay.
