TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS!!! Currently writing this on our last day of what was supposed to be a ‘holiday’. I personally and my partner will not visit this hotel or Tunisia again. It has been a snowball of problems since we arrived. The first being a hotel change, not this hotels fault, but the travel advice for the one be booked was changed and we were no longer able to stay there so love holidays booked us into the Vincci Helios.. not happy but it couldn’t be helped. On arrival it seemed like an amazing hotel, big lobby, beautiful structure but then the problems began. We had a bungalow but there was no internet so requested to move to rooms closer to the main hotel so we could access the WiFi as I had children at home we wanted to be able to contact. Other than that, the bungalow was lovely. Very spacious and a king sized bed. The second room was a massive downgrade, they moved us into the main hotel, it was very small and it only had 2 single beds (bare in mind were a couple and the last room was a king size bed) it wasn’t clean at all, then the plug wouldn’t fit in the bath and the bath was covered in limescale. So unfortunately we complained due to the downgrade and also the fact it wasn’t the hotel we had originally chosen, so we moved rooms again. The 3rd room was also in the hotel itself, it was small, but had a double bed and was clean. We were semi happy. (Worth noting the WiFi only works inside the main hotel and the bungalows close to the main hotel) evening time came and we ran a bath, all rooms have one, when we noticed the floor was wet. It turned out the bath wasn’t sealed properly and the whole bath flooded the entire hotel room. So yet again.. we complained and we moved rooms. 4th room was also in the hotel, again it was okay. Not big and not too clean but at this point we were ready to come home. 6.30am we were woken up by the fans below in the kitchen, not happy but what can we do, we opened the curtain in the room to watch the sun come up, as we were awake, and we saw the floor was covered in ants. We lost our minds at this point, we moved rooms AGAIN also we were told to wait in the room for 4 hours with the ants which we have on video the man telling us. 5th room, they moved us to a bungalow, happy again with the room and the size and we had WiFi but there were still ants. We ended up spraying them with my perfume to kill them and by now we had 3 days left so decided to either go home or suck it up. Food- I managed with the beef stew every night but my partner didn’t eat. A lot of people complaining, very wide selection, but not good quality. They did do pancakes in the lobby every few days which was nice and made the wait better from lunch to dinner. Breakfast 6.30-10am Lunch 12.30-2.30 Dinner 6.30-8.30 Drinks- I would avoid, a paid for bar with nicer drinks or the all inclusive which tasted like dish soap. We didn’t drink the whole holiday after the first day Shops- onsite shop which was fantastic and
