We stayed at the Monarque Dar Narjes for 2 weeks over the New Year period for some winter sun. Check in was very smooth. Reception staff were polite and helpful and our hotel room was comfortable with housekeeping done daily if required. The staff really worked hard to make a lovely meal and party on New Years Eve. There was an adequate choice of food in the restaurant throughout our stay. The hotel was fairly quiet and parts of the wider complex were not open out of season. Our stay at the hotel was excellent value for money. There were several poor, thin, lovely stray dogs on the beach We were so upset to find 2 dogs that we befriended dying on the beach from poisoning Djerba has a big problem with strays. The Government should address this problem with education and a programme of neutering, spaying etc and tagging instead of allowing poisoning and shooting of the dogs.

Super hotel tres jolie vue sur la mer . Animation toujours souriants et accueillant la journèe et les soirèe au top , diffèrentes spectacles . On reviendra dès que possible bravo á tous l’equipe d’animation et un grand merci a Nadem et toute l’equipe

First for the good points.. The animation team were amazing and kept us involved even though we didn't play games with them we got to know quite a few. They are cheerful and hard working and kept us laughing. We did go on a walk on the last day which we enjoyed. The pools were very clean. Now the not so nice points.. We have been to Tunisia three times now and got to expect a certain standard. Being four star and having such good reviews we thought we would be okay. The towels and pillows are just awful and should be binned. The pillows are just cut up bits of foam. My pillow was dirty and had lost half its stuffing so it made it even lumpier. The cleaner couldn't see anything wrong with it. I didn't sleep at all the first night. I got a replacement pillow but still lumpy. The beds had blankets on with a sheet over the top of both beds. The blankets were also dirty. The once white towels were brownish and almost all of the towel had threads hanging down. I found a cigarette burn on my mattress protector just where i lay. I lifted it up and found a lot of long black hairs underneath the mattress protector. We were quite shocked at the restaurant. It was dark and gloomy and did not have the amount of food we were used to at Tunisian hotels. There was only a handful of British people there as most of the guests were Lybians. I felt like we were in a refugee camp. They were so wasteful by filling their tables with 10-12 plates of food (even for a father and young son) then leaving most of it. Don't expect a waiter service for wine or beer and you cannot get beer in the restaurant! You have to get it from the bar upstairs but the barman doesn't like you taking his glasses down to the restaurant. You also have to go and ask the waiter for wine and he will bring it to your table. Not the 4 star service you expect! They don't cater for vegetarians either except pizza and pasta, salad or vegetables. The nearest i got was a spinach pie- tasteless spinach with puff pastry on top.

El Hotel Vuncci Dar Midoun tiene los mejores animadores que no nos dejaron aburrir 😁 Ha habido gimnasia 🤸 en la mañana, luego bailando por la piscina 💃, varios juegos 🏓 y divertido 🤹‍♀️, y en la noche hermosos shows de baile 👬👫, karaoke, discos. Ellos hizo todo con todo su corazón 🥰 para hacer nuestro tiempo más agradable. Muchas gracias por el tiempo que pasó con usted 💚 Volveremos a este hotel. I&R

This was our first holiday in Djerba and I would name it as veery good. The hotel is directly at very nice beach,dinners at the terrace restaurant were really stunning. It can be seen that hotel is still working on how to be better and nicer place for their guests. Staff was very nice,smilling all the time,even we saw them working hard every day... Food was really good,quite a lot od varieties during our 11 days stay. We tried ala carte restaurant as well,I really recomend it, delicious food 👌👌... What I see as a minus of this hotel is animation team - when I compare with other hotels in Tunisia, this team in my opinion is not working as team for guests, they should probably rethink aiming of animation according to the guests, because there happened very often that they were having better time than guests 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. The best shows in the evening were done by outsources,not amimators. Manager of animation team was just angry walking around the place with his phone and not trying to manage them and if so,he was just rude to them in front of the guests,which I think is not good for the good feeling of the guests... So overall, we enjoyed our holiday in this hotel,mostly I think is not for young people,maybe middle age and older, services were really good for Tunisian 4star hotel, just level up animation and it will be so much better to go there for holiday 😉😉
