I had an extremely disappointing experience at HM RESORT, Dibrugarh last night that I feel compelled to share. My friends and I decided to dine at the outdoor area by the lake, which was a key reason we chose this restaurant. Upon arrival, we asked the staff if we could sit there, and we were assured that it was possible. However, after waiting for over an hour without anyone coming to take our order, a staff member finally approached and informed us that the table was already reserved and that we couldn’t be served there. But the whole area was vacant with multiple sitting areas. This was despite there being no visible reservation tags on the table when we were seated. To make matters worse, we were told that we should have made a reservation at the reception counter. But when we arrived, there was no one at the reception to guide us or inform us of this requirement. It was baffling that we were allowed to sit in an area that apparently required a reservation, especially when no such information was provided to us initially. And this was not my first time experiencing such issues at the same place. Even last time we were told directly that they can't serve there, so we just had to move on the other side of the restaurant. Guess this was still the same matter last night. If they find it so hard to serve on that area, then they should remove all the sitting area from that side. The lack of communication, the long wait time, and the rude, unprofessional attitude of the staff turned what should have been a pleasant outing into a frustrating ordeal. Based on this experience, I would not recommend HM RESORT DIBRUGARH to anyone. It’s clear that there are significant issues with their service and customer management.
